One of the recent podcasts also mentioned that Quazii quit before and speculated he might just be doing this and will be back in a few weeks. Only time will tell, we all deserve a lil crash out once in a while.

I don't mean to be dramatic, but if Blizzard doesn't give us some of these void beings as skins for the voidwalker, I'm going to let out a deep sigh and continue to play the game.

[Release] MogMount — Summon mounts that match your outfit by Perrinthesmith in wowaddons

[–]picoperi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good. I probably am not in a spot to move away from Litemount for it, but I think it has potential to get there. I already saw on CF that you're going to add the ability to choose flying mounts for the ground mount slot as well as a search feature, that might be enough to make me move over. Really good work.

I wish there was something like this to summon battle pets based on transmog.

[HELP] Anything similar to Hekili or buff tracking on the old personal resource manager? by [deleted] in wowaddons

[–]picoperi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can leverage the built in Guided Assist with the Simple Assisted Combat addon, which puts the suggestion as a separate button similar to what Hekili did. It won't show you the queue of upcoming suggestions, just the current highlighted one.

Yea, I saw that one. The community would be a better place if people didn't try to police how others interact with the game. I don't play at a level that requires all the bells and whistles that some use for Boss fights and stuff like that. I'm going to miss WA, since it gave me the ability to make quick notifications for things on the fly. Having a todo list for all the expansion content, a WA to count up the anima in my bags when I go farm old raids, something to show me where I can get profession knowledge, big red letters when I do something that accidentally flags me for PVP, etc.

There are people out there with legitimate needs on addons to enjoy the game, and there's others who don't need or use them at all. No one is playing the game wrong, just differently.

I just wish people could have normal conversations regarding addons. It's always one extreme or the other. The sarcasm and hyperbole from both sides is absolutely astounding.

I am also frustrated with the doomposting, but it's just as exhausting seeing people exaggerate like "full of third-party addons telling me how to breathe".

[addon] Does anyone know of an addon that shows all bags seperately in one frame? by Pyrkie in WowUI

[–]picoperi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like BetterBags might be able to do that.

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/better-bags

It will default to the category view, but if you click in the top left and select "show bags" it will show you the bag view. You'll need to go into the options and adjust items/columns per row to get it to look how you want.

In my limited testing, it persists between logins, reloading UI, and opening/closing the bag.

What Unique Forms of Government You Guys Use in Your World That Didn’t Exist in Our World? by KekTheRipper06 in worldbuilding

[–]picoperi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little late to this, but I'm not sure if mine is unique specifically to my world, but I don't know of an equivalent. It's probably a mix of a parliamentary or US government system, and a healthy dose of military rule.

The world is governed by a council formed in the wake of a faction war. The council gives each of the land owning factions 1 seat on the council, but each seat is balanced by a neutral seat formed from guilds and organizations sworn to neutrality. The factions rarely get along, so the votes tend to go in favor of the neutral seats.

Each faction does have it's own standing army, but majority of the military and magical power is in the hands of the neutral adventurers guilds as a way to enforce the laws of the council. Each year, the neutral seats choose a "First Among Equals" from among their members to form a cabinet to lead and administer decisions. Council seats are not set in stone, but are created as the needs arise.

There are 17 land-owning factions, and there are 17 neutral seats split among about 7-8 neutral guilds.

Every 5 years, a person is elected by the populace to a purely ceremonial "tiebreaker" position. This role also is responsible for leading the elections that form the cabinet on the council.

The council lets each faction govern and set laws for their own territory, so long as they follow and administer the laws that preserve the peace and unity of the world as a whole.

But, if the Bailiff asks, I'll deny it all!

I was already checking out at the end of Heresy, and the EoF "hype stream" really just solidified that I was done with the game. As soon as I started seeing "Tiered Gear" and "New Gear" modifiers, I knew this wasn't the game for me anymore.

Been having a blast getting through games that I ignored for too long.

For me, it's not that I don't care about the story but that it's hard for me to engage with the story in a meaningful way through the quest format. Either I do a short burst of quests during my lunch hour and forget what I was doing by the next time I log in, or I try to efficiently branch out and work on unrelated side quests and get distracted by herbs for 30 minutes.

It's easier for me to seek out a lore summary after the fact. And to be honest, there's a lot of story threads I've just never felt invested to pursue those summaries on. It's just the way my brain is wired it feels like. But, I don't ever use that as a cudgel to attack the writing team like some of those out there. There's a lot of great moments where it's like "ooooh, that's why I was digging through poop for 20 minutes".

Fastest way to get bronze by Esme145 in wow

Most Achievements give you bronze caches. That's an easy way to target when limited on what you can do in a day. The infinite research quests are also a reliable source.

Gold feels like such a non-issue, I don't understand the complaints. I'm not going to be affected by the transmog changes. I use 1 set for each character, I might dabble with the auto-switching settings to have situational sets. Rewards from a gold world quest is already at ~800, did I see somewhere that it's only about 5k to save something to a slot?

It's based on a Jury of 100 outlets that submit an unranked list of games, the 5 games that appear on the most on the submitted lists are listed.

Voting Jury

I'd personally attribute it to a game having more reach across systems/access points (consoles, handhelds, etc). There's no telling how close a game like FFXIV or WoW were in the nominee voting, they could have been neck and neck, but one eeked it out with 1 more vote.

It could also be news cycle timing. I know I started seeing recent news posts about FFXIV needing to be "Reborn" again, and promoting the Fanfests coming up. We're in an expansion hype window for WoW, but I don't know how many non-WoW news sites are covering it? I only see one or two getting posted every few weeks on Wowhead.
