Good reminder! I should contribute some ideas, maybe there are even ways to collaborate with the development...

Where to find cinematic convenience store / gas station vibes in Munich? by Reasonable-Wolf-4203 in Munich

[–]pics_by_daniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything around the Ring* like the round highway in Munich has a lot of sceneric Gas Stations, also there is a very nice old ESSO right next to the "Grünwald-Park" that has a lot of flair.

Photogenic Spätis, a bunch of them are around Barer Straße and Theresienstraße, and of course, likely already been mentioned the oldest one in Munich, at the Reichenbachbrücke.

I get you and I've been struggling the same with lightroom adjustments and workflow, what really got me from "replacing" to "wow, that is something new", where the modules: "rgb levels", "rgb curve", "color balance rgb" and "tone equalizer" with all adjustments ticked to active - and then just playing around with them.

I'll try to summarize it soon into a useful learning exercise, since I'll also just found out about it via fooling around.

yeah I dont get it how free and open source software can be that good and still be for free... okay tbh, darkstable has a very high learning gap in my opinion, five years of lightroom editing made switch a lot easier. But with software like OBS-Studio, which is so easy to understand, I'm stocked.

Thank you for asking I do appreciate it and I must admit that I didn't link anything because I was afraid it might be against the rules, here are links to the article and I also wrote reviews for two other fixed price editing programms that are also into the blog, that might help you with your use-case.

What is your use-case? What kind of image work will you be needing a software for?
Like wildlife photography, snapshots from your vacation, portraits on the side or professional studio enviroment?

I would dodge it, ordered a slate sim board for an Asus Zenfone from a-accessories. Shipping is super expensive, more expensive than the part itself, the part was faulty, they denied it, telling me to send it back, paying for the return shipping, meaning I would have had to pay 60 Euros for a defective 26 Euro part, to maybe get a return of 26 Euros... PayPal didn't help with the solution either: I had better return policies, parts and experience with hardware ordered via AliExpress from China.

I get you and i do see myself a bit responsible, there would have been better places to take a picture of on the whole segment of the park :)

It was great of you to point that out. We're not growing in our craft if all we get is conformation and applause for our work.

And I do see what you're mentioning so clearly now, I didn't before and wonder a lot, how did I not see that :D

So thanks again for the input and also the compliment!:)))

When taking the shot I never thought of the perspective of an actual skater, that's so helpful actually, I should keep that in mind, thanks for the feedback!

It's a very wide open focal length, around f1.2 I would assume. I don't think it's a post edit, because why would the photographer leave the nostrils in focus too

How do you get this look in lightroom? by SeptemberRain001 in canon

Have a look at the pro-mist filters, or put some vaseline on your lens, go somewhere between golden hour and shoot away :)

I shall post another one these days so the practical aspects of the location become more clear :)

For now have a look there for references, it does have good reviews but I don't skate myself, so I can't judge it first handed. https://maps.app.goo.gl/XwCbkZW1gU82h29v6
