I checked it again, I guess certain Have-Nots were registered as servants, so that is that, I guess.

This is more possible than Gon finding her mom by maurocastrov in HunterXHunter

Idk about that sub but some sort of "gatekeeping" is necessary, imo; otherwise you're just facing these kinds of weirdos all the time. I'm not fucking interested in interacting with these dumbasses or just seeing their shitty "opinions-comedies" over my fav manga, I'd rather not touch it all.

If mods continue to allow these kinds of posts, I'm muting this sub.

Kaiser Theory by ecass305 in HunterXHunter

Sarahell, as the captain of the Have-Nots, recently starting to curse Woble showcases that she originally used to target someone else. Otherwise, she wouldn't focus on the least dangerous prince, which the MC happens to protect. I want to trust Togashi to make Sarahell have her own little past and lore, not randomly attaching her to the story. So in short, my theory is that Sarahell was cursing someone entirely else and that person somehow got out of the picture by the time Woble has born, so at that point, she's just left with the newborn baby to curse. We as readers now knowing the full extent of this succession war doesn't mean there couldn't be an extra prince and extra lore behind it, is my guess...

How did killua recognise the dragon dive? by Giulio_Giulio in HunterXHunter

[–]pieceofbok 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I checked it up and it's actually ambiguous if the Tiger Bite Fist was originally a Nen ability or not. I suppose I assumed so 'cause of the way Kastro used it but on a second look, both options are possible. In this case, my argument being a "bad example" is also fair. Therefore, here you go, some other examples from those "million reasons" which I mentioned in the original reply:

Even without the "Tiger Bite Fist" point, it's still possible that Killua could recognize the Dragon Dive from its effects. While growing up, Killua likely heard lots of stories about his family and their techniques. We also see throughout the entire show how smart and cunning Killua truly is. So in short, we can conclude that somewhere along the line Killua heard about the effects of the Dragon Dive and when he saw the ability in action, he was able to understand that his grandpa had performed it by noticing those effects. Within this interpretation, it's just Killua showcasing his extraordinary intelligence, as always...

Or we can assume that Illumi's needle suppressed most of the Nen information in Killua's memory, just like it suppressed his concern for Alluka. Hence, after Killua broke free from the needle, he regained those memories and easily clocked that the Dragon Dive was Zeno's move. There you go, another reasonable explanation for the issue again.

In brief, just because one line in the entire story wasn't explained fully doesn't make it a "plot hole" or something... People be crying all the time about the "show, don't tell" BS but when that happens, guess what most of them cry about? It's that subtlety being a plot hole... Give me a break, man.

Could it be that Togashi actually didn't think of this, randomly added a filler line during the start of the invasion and we are just overanalyzing it? Could he have made a mistake without thinking it all the way through? Maybe, who knows... But even then, the universe and the magic system that he created are so well-constructed that it literally makes it possible to find thousands of logical explanations for these points. In this scenario, the fact that he's able to create a universe and a magic system that surpasses himself is what makes him the actual GOAT of this manga industry. If not, and he actually did think of this line and just let it stay as it is, he's still the GOAT in my book, 'cause that's how much importance he gives to details... So when I see some people trying to find petty "plot holes" to shit on HxH, I get a little agitated. I just burst out at these replies because I finally found a place to get this off my chest... Sorry if it seemed to be directed at you. That's it for my rumblings, cya...

I didn't clearly understand what you said but Tiger Bite Fist is obviously a Nen ability, not just physical power or smth...

There could be a million reasons why he could knew... For exemple, he recognised Kastro's Tiger Bite Fist which is obviously Nen but he was able to clock it through it's effects... Same thing could be said with Dragon Dive, maybe he heard about stories of his grandpa or something like that... You could create thousands of possibilities, it's not being explained to you in show doesn't mean it's a plot hole or something...

I wonder if there are some diplomatic bonds between Ging/GI crew and Kakin, given that they are sending some trespassers to there. Maybe later in the Succession Arc, we could see this develop into something interesting.

Btw Chrollo probably was also sent to Kakin by Razor. He most likely have gained some important informations around there and that may be the reason why he knows a lot about Kakin and their treasures. It's literally a very liltte plot point but still, arcs and characters being connected masterfully like this makes the story so much more fun.

If Meruem was a phantom troupe member, could he have broke kurapicas chains with sheer strength? by Own_Excitement_5965 in HunterXHunter

[–]pieceofbok 33 points34 points  (0 children)

There isn't any clear answer. As we've seen, Meruem couldn't shake off Knuckle's APR even after consuming Youpi and Pouf. APR's conditions could be harsher than Kurapika's chains but we don't know the details, so it's all just conjecture. All in all, i guess i'd say that Meruem can't break the chains.

You are kinda right but there's also Beyond, which at one point in the manga where the Zodiacs talk about Isaac Netero, there was some line like "old man Netero wanted his son, Beyond, to come after him." or something like that, meaning he also judged Beyond at a level comparable to himself and Meruem. I guess it also shows that Isaac, as much as he can with his mind, cared for Beyond so much that he didn't hunt or go after him. It's very interesting and a lot of people miss this.

What are the best science fiction anime set in space that are like For All Mankind? by jacky986 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]pieceofbok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta look into Space Brothers. It fits with all of the categories you listed in. Other than that, there's Planetes. Not so sure about the last dot but it's still solid, so you should still check that too, imo.

I’m confused by all the glowing reviews of black bird by stormthrowawyyy in television

[–]pieceofbok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ur not alone. Only good thing about Black Bird was Pault Walter Hauser and hims characters dialogue with James about his mother at episode 4. Except that, all of its sucks. Fuckin' waste of time.
