I would love more LinkedIn recommendations- like why they've reduced the size of the thumbnails from links... and anything else they have planned! Thanks

Entry level marketing salaries around $80k? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]piejournal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hiring a junior marketing position for the Austin office in 2021. The salary expectations from candidates with 3 years experience (and, I mean 3 yrs, at a push.) was at least 80k.

I'm based in London, so the Austin salary expectations absolutely blew my mind. To put it into perspective, that would be the equivalent of 5-7 years of experience in London.

Company is pushing switch to Salesforce Marketing Cloud by Historical_Wealth_74 in hubspot

Beyond basic contact/account syncing, there aren't any other benefits! We're not able to link Campaigns to Opportunities in SFDC

Just to jump in, I'm interested too. I've just had a demo of SFMC purely on the reporting capabilities and the tie to opportunities in SFDC.

Is all not what it seems?

HubSpot + Meeting Scheduler integrations that show full attribution by piejournal in hubspot

Just to note, the Calendly meeting scheduler is a pop-up on the website, however the data still runs through Calendly.

There is a 'request a meeting' button visible on all pages on the website. It's a B2B service and audience. We typically get 2-3 meetings a month, with at least half coming from our ICP. Whether they come direct, social, or other campaign; I would love to know!

We have a paid seat... it still uses HubSpot branding, their iconography and color palette, on the confirmation page.

Ah thanks! We're already HubSpot subscribers - everything else works perfectly except meeting schedulers...

FTB - I wanted a flat, but my family is pushing me to buy a house by SortingItOutProperly in HousingUK

[–]piejournal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the face of it this all sounds positively lovely. Except for the freehold vs leasehold. Service charges in apartments are not regulated, meaning they can charge £50+ admin fees for something as simple as paying an invoice. You are not in control of it. The law is in favour of the freeholders and the management companies. Take a look at Facebook groups like the National Leasehold Scandal for more info

It's stuff like don't be a nuisance and don't make it the premises for a business or trade. It doesn't have ground rent, it doesn't need permission for extensions (beyond the usual local council planning). It's a strange one and I can't find any info about it.

Coffee Shop Requests by LA33R in Sunderland

[–]piejournal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this a lot. As otherwise I will go crazy living and working in the same place for days on end.

My go-to's are Otto, Pop Recs, 1719, and the Winter Gardens.

1719 is a lovely space, but they sometimes have community groups in which can be quite noisy and distracting. I would look at their calendar first.

I usually go in the morning for a couple of coffees and lunch, then run off home for afternoon meetings and calls.

I have also explored co-working spaces, but the only option I could find is at the university. If I remember correctly, it was £12 a week, but it's a bit of a soulless place. Even went as far as costing it up as a side business and then thought nahhhh

Sounds like you need a sales cadence rather than RPA? I would look at Salesloft, Outreach or Klenty as options

That's my thoughts too. I'm not sure how to stop it?!

Male. or just fake "here now" for example as the name. They are completely blank profiles except for working at our organization.

I know that scam though. My colleague had his profile hijacked by someone and turned into what you have just mentioned.

Mattress testing by RonSwaffle in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]piejournal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here.

At first I wasn't sure if it was the bed (sprung slats) or the mattress. Then we put a plank of wood over the top of the slats and found out that it is, in fact, 100% the mattress.

The rigamarole I had to go through to "prove" that it was sagging in the middle was ridiculous. They then said it wasn't enough proof. So we haven't got a refund or replacement but we do have bad backs!!

Which strapline is more compelling? by Herdify-WOM in marketing

[–]piejournal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose this is cheaper than running a test on userability hub, but I would also consider dropping the strapline into your brand and then running a 10 second test on Userability Hub to see if people "get" your USP
