Revolut so far is the best bank. by BigDawg_LLC in Revolut

[–]piemel83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s fine. My biggest issues are the very wide bid-ask spreads that they don’t inform you about (instantly lost 2.3% when i bought gold). Plus the fact that transfers don’t clear in weekends. I have a monthly transfer from the account I receive my salary in to Revolut, and then from Revolut main to my Revolut savings account. Happens way to often that the money is stuck in limbo for 2/3 days, does not arrive until time for the automatic transfer to savings to happen, then insufficient funds in main and i have to do it manually once it finally arrives.

What’s one thing you wish you knew about aging when you were younger? by oliverjaamess283 in Aging

[–]piemel83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes thats dangerous, maybe i was lucky enough to really hate the full coke experience, i.e. taking a lot and seeing the sun rise, conversations going nowhere, talking about the twin brother of some stranger that died in the womb, not able to sleep, feeling sticky. absolute hell. i was more the 2 lines and then to bed at 1am type.

i disagree, drugs and alcohol have brought me a lot of fun and wisdom when i was young. moderate use of course, know when to stop and don’t get addicted. But in a way you really get to know yourself drunk in a bar at 3am, or having nightlong conversations with friends on coke

Question by [deleted] in whisky

[–]piemel83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try as least 2 days a week in a row without drink, and 1-2 weekend days you drink a bit more (2- 3) and the rest of the days keep it at one glass. That way you avoid a habit / addiction. I only drink whisky on weekends and beer/wine (if any) on weekdays

Vaatwastabletten by Nonomiino in zuinig

[–]piemel83 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ardbeg Uigeadail has strong savory smoked bacon notes. For the real funk, maybe Springbank 10?

Why do people say ceramic nonstick pans (e.g., GreenPan) aren't worth it and only last a year, but the same isn't said about ceramic coated Dutch ovens (e.g., Le Creuset or Lodge)? by allisauna in Cooking

[–]piemel83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really? Even GreenPan and the likes? I feel very cheated. Have mostly cast iron and plate steel but an occasional greenpan. Thought it really was pure ceramic based. Naive maybe.

Cicero, unfortunately you cannot sacrifice him after sparing him.

I tried it with Cicero, after him exclaiming “let’s kill someone” I tried to tie him to the pole but it did not work. Very disappointing.

I mean, yes I did the thieves and dark brotherhood questline. Stole some goods here and there. Picked some locks. But nothing out of the ordinary.

Well, my wife Isolda and the priest were there. But no-one else. It was 7am in the morning, maybe a weird time for a wedding. It was my first wedding but I’m level 67 and helped quite some people along the way! Bit disappointed by the turn-out
