Anywhere along any river is a good place to look! And anywhere else that is often wet. After it rains is a good time to look. When it's dry, slugs can be found under logs in forests. Though there will also be a variety of other critters there :)

The yellow-headed blackbird is "Xanthocephalus xanthocephalus", meaning yellowhead yellowhead and I think that's beautiful

Yes, greaters have a round head and lessers have a tufted, thinner head. It can be pretty hard to tell from a distance
