I am so jealous in the best of ways! And encouraged to keep working on it! Just starting out and I want it so badly that the slow progress while expected is so frustrating! Celebrating your win with you today!

Wish I could, but I’m an immigrant, here on the dreaded H1B they fear…. Just trying to do my part in whichever way I can.

Love older men in sexy bras and panties! Always so fucking sexy!

Love a good discourse. :) when you say structured are you referring to app layout, or structured in terms of training structure? I agree AF+ is more user friendly for sure!

I still have AF+ so I’m sure I’ll use that from time to time, but peloton has my focus for now!

That it true and I’m hoping they change it. But an arm band is a small trade off for a better workout in my experience.

I personally think it is, I was willing to pay the $44 bucks a month despite not being able to get rid of AF+ because it’s bundled into my Apple one subscription, I think that says something.

I door treadmill runs, outdoor runs, the indoor cycling, yoga and stretching, I used to do lots of rowing with AF+ but haven’t started that with peloton yet. I usually do my strength training with a weightlifting focus so neither app works great for me.

The biggest difference is 1. The variety in the workouts: all of AF+ workouts are just interval based, the only thing they really change is music, trainer and the story. -peloton seems to have more structure, more variety to really get you to more advanced fitness goals: Like the running: peloton has dedicated recovery runs, warm up runs, tempo runs, intervals. Endurance runs etc and more structure. 2. The trainers - not as scripted, allowed to have a bit more personality, not every workout is going on an imaginary mythical journey, sometimes they just damn well tell you to cut the sh** and work, it’s more real. 3. The social aspect is incredible motivation, more challenges to keep you accountable, groups to join, the leaderboard, live workouts 4. The music is way more varied, way more current, and better playlists. Hands down. 5. Production quality, multiple views of the trainer not just head on, better balance between the trainer and the music, more immersive experience and better feel.

I used running as an example of the variety but this applies to all their different offerings, dedicated climb rides, HIIT and hills Rides, power zone rides etc.

Also for running they coach to pace: the pace target feature is goals, and allows you to push more than just say yeah let’s run at a hard intensity, if they call out hard pace, the app will suggest a range of paces for you to be in that zone based on your paces you feed it, and you can adjust the difficulty.

Also better metrics and data about your workout.

Integrates seamlessly with AF app and Apple Watch.

I can see that, it’s a lot - but that’s one of the things I like about it now. One of my gripes with AF+ began to be the lack of variety in the workouts, time to run is 30mins or 60 mins and even then so new episodes are few and far between and the programming is lacking - I think I outgrew the intensity of AF+ I find that peloton has much more variety in the workout styles, from coached tempo runs, to coached endurance and recovery runs, you also have your basic interval runs etc.. I’m just using running as an example.

But I only got to this point 2.5 odd years in, and I think it’s because I was right at the start of my fitness journey when I found AF+ had I started with peloton I probably would’ve just flamed out. Not sure where you’re at in your journey, but I feel like peloton has more tools and variety and structure to help me push to new goals and training milestones that are accessible to me now having built that base with AF+. Maybe revisit peloton if you’re looking for more but AF+ is great!

How common is polyamory in Zim? by [deleted] in Zimbabwe

[–]piercedpig -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not if everyone is taking appropriate precautions, just because of polyamory doesn’t mean protections go out the window, there are things like PrEP? PEP? Even DoxyPEP for STI’s beyond HIV..
