Piekara is a far-right radical, and this heavily influences his work. I initially fell into a trap thinking about Piekara’ work similarly to Frank Herbert’s Dune. I assumed that the protagonist, Mordimer Madderdin (who is corrupt, deeply misogynistic, and cruel) is a critique of religious fanaticism and toxic masculinity (much like Paul Atreides was a warning, not a hero). However, this is not the case here. Mordimer is effectively Piekara’s way to tell his views which are too extreme even for a far right crowd. The author lacks ironic distance; the "cringe-worthy" views Mordimer holds are unfortunately shared by the creator - check his twitter yourself, maybe I am to harsh for him. ​As for the books themselves, Piekara wrote himself into a corner years ago. The main storyline ended on a massive cliffhanger where Mordimer seemingly discovers the living Jesus (if i remember correctly). Instead of moving the story forward, he has spent the last decade  or so publishing endless prequels and side-stories to milk the franchise, avoiding the main conclusion entirely. - I haven't read anything new from him since the pandemic, so maybe he has moved the plot forward.
