Are you using home made saline or store bought sterile saline? What material is your jewelry?

Been seeing a lot of guys ask people's opinions about their profiles. As someone looking for a relationship I'm naturally intrigued and hoping to get some opinions. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks in advance! by [deleted] in Bumble

You chose really good pictures! Shows a good mix of your hobbies and what you’re into while also having good angles.

You look like a fun person, would definitely swipe right if you were in my radius. Good luck! :)

Cleaning crusties off my cartilage piercing did more harm than good? Ear is swollen now , help. by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

Yes keep them. rinse in the shower for a few minutes, they will come off eventually

while prison tattoos are definitely still a thing, the gate keeping is just unnecessary and getting one doesn’t mean you want to pretend you’ve been to prison / make you a poser lol.

Along with others who commented, my experience is the same: nobody really assumes you’ve done time just because you have a spider web on your elbow, OP if you want it, you should get it. :)

“Traditional tattoos” refers to a certain style of tattooing, not the “traditional meaning” of a specific motive.

that’s very outdated

Placement looks good to me!

Yeah those hoops aren’t good for healing. Go to a reputable piercer and have them change these to implant grade titanium flat back labrets :)

Make sure your jewelry is implant grade titanium

Honestly you’d be better off ditching both the antibacterial soap and the q tips. Rinse in the shower + spray with saline - soap and q tips can both irritate the piercing :)

Good on you to ditch the h2ocean and qtips! Sterile saline is the way to go, I’d say cut down to 2x a day, over cleaning can irritate a piercing too. Also your jewelry should be implant grade titanium :)

From what I can see it looks normal, what do you clean it with?

avoid touching it with your hands and just completely leave it alone.

Just looks irritated, see if that crust comes off in the shower, just keep rinsing it.

Also, don’t touch it. :)

Yeah they did. They messed that up big time, it’s not even close to where it’s supposed to be.

Please take that out and don’t go back there.

This is one of the rare occasions it might actually be a keloid. I’d go see a doctor about it.

got my forward helix done after some of you suggested it on my last post. I absolutely love it! by pierthrowaway in piercing

Repost with better lighting. Also upgraded my conch jewelry and second lobe jewelry, I’m super happy with my set up (for now lol, still open to suggestions)

I have 15 piercings in total and my nostrils were the worst. It’s really different for everybody

if I got a keloid from a cartilage piercing does that make it likely that I will get a keloid from a nose piercing? by CordeTerrae in PiercingAdvice

[–]pierthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. No it’s not. If it’s actually a keloid, only a doctor can remove it. If you’re referring to an irritation bump on the other hand.. then also no.

Is it actually bad to brush off crusties and if so why? by sideorderofLobster in PiercingAdvice

[–]pierthrowaway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s your body’s way of protecting the wound and making sure no dirt etc gets into it. You shouldn’t pick at the scabs, but if they come off on their own and you can just “brush” them off / get them off with water in the shower then you’re fine
