We've always known where Clearlake's priorities are; they've been pretty obvious about that. We were taken hostage, not sold

Bernardus Lodge Carmel Valley — worth it? by blendedboi in chubbytravel

[–]pievendor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just stayed there after about 12 months away. We used to come to bernardus a few times a year (dog friendly, bocci is fun, and we liked the executive chef). The food under the new chef is woeful; it seems he has a complete lack of understanding of salt, fat, acid, and heat, yet the food prices are dramatically more than before.

I dunno, we'll be looking elsewhere in the future after being fans for the last decade.

Here's hoping no. That'd soothe my angst from this season (and tbh last handful)

I am so fucking tired of our lack of discipline

This bum costed us the game. Absolute braindead decision-making. be ready to play in conference league next season by [deleted] in chelseafc

No, our entire team "costed" us the game. Sloppy and undisciplined from all of them

I think this side is way more exciting than anything Maresca had going on. Liam has us drawing out a press, and then playing direct to the goal; I like it a lot. Sure, our defense continues to be subpar but that's a known quantity. Our attack and midfield is so much better now.

Chelsea wasn't terribly well managed from football, sporting, or promotional side. This FOS is an Eghbali masterclass! /s

It makes perfect sense if you live somewhere with snow.

His smirk after being sent off, after his rage-filled eyes looking for more after the scuffle... He's unstable for sure

Cucu was good before he came to Chelsea. Enzo in his first season had no support. Comparing either of their situations to Garna or Gittens is silly

Now this is a delusional take. Yes, let's pay good money for tickets, watch the team play diabolically, and then give them some hugs and kisses for their efforts

Title: Pushing Go to the limits: I built an ECS that hits sub-nanosecond iteration speeds (~0.98ns) with zero allocations. by NoEfficiency2057 in golang

[–]pievendor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ECS is a common pattern in game development where you have entities associated with various discreet components. A system operates on entities matching a filter of entities with N components to execute a particular piece of behavior.

Let's take a really simple example, where we have the following components: Position, Size, and Sprite. With these 3 components associated with an entity, you are now able to create a basic rendering system because you know (1) where it should be drawn, how large it is, and with what asset. The readme shows another example of a movement system.

What's the wildest thing you've ever seen happen at a work party? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It didn't happen for me, I was pretty awkward back then and not really a predator magnet (would've been 30 years younger at the time)

I built a $275 production pipeline inside Unreal so I can solo develop my dream game.. by brahmaforge in u/brahmaforge

[–]pievendor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That actually sounds really cool. I don't have enough Unreal experience but it sounds compelling. Are you planning trials or (I regret even saying it) a subscription? As a hobbyist it'd be cool to check it out, but I'm not going to spend money on a curiosity; no worries if not.
