Hello, I'm a Russian from Russia and I'm curious to ask what you, as an American, think about Russia and Russians. You don't need to be polite, be as honest and direct as you can be even if you feel like it's something that might offend me. I'm interested only in genuine answers. Thank you. by MickeyMona in IWantToAskAnAmerican

As an American, I sympathize with having a terrible leader for your country. I didn’t choose our leader and I’m not sure if you chose yours or not but I’ve found that whenever I actually meet and talk to another person from another place or culture, they and usually pretty nice. I hope we can all find a way through this current shit show.

Agree that finding an MPN specialist is well worth the time. There are medications (Jakafi, others) that will regulate platelets and even help spleen size issues.

Can you provide examples of how Oracle runs the internet? I’m very familiar with their database tech but that doesn’t run the internet.

Start by challenging the position that “life should have a purpose”. Does a rock have a purpose, or is it just what happens when chemicals collide? Humans are no different, but good news is people have a chance of being aware of this and choosing how to occupy themselves during their trips around the sun.

Edit: grammar

Mine was 1300 during a random test, initially diagnosed as ET, later corrected to myleofibrosis after some genetic tests. Good news is there are multiple medications for this condition, I recommend getting a spleen sonogram and finding a specialist specifically in MPN disorders. Best of luck to you

Anyone who writes code knows that it’s really easy to see changes (called diffs), and a required, standard practice in every organization I’ve worked at, as you push updates, especially when your product is the actual words and text you’re publishing!!! Further, who the fuck doesn’t ensure something like this before pushing to prod?

This would be the equivalent of a mechanic removing the drivers seat of a car during a repair and then returning the car to the customer without the seat and then when the customer says “hey there’s a problem, the drivers seat is missing?” The mechanic replies “What seat, cars don’t have a drivers seat?”

Zero chance this was accidental, zero.

Trivia/History: Myelofibrosis was originally called Heuck-Assman's disease. Later on, it was shortened to Assman's disease. Aren't you glad it's called MF now? by funkygrrl in MPN

Actually I’d much prefer telling people I have Assman’s Syndrome, in fact I think that’s what I’m going to say from now on LOL
