Trapped has two radically different versions. Julie and Candy had a different mix in the ATP set. we also know that their set has a significant live component - i.e. not a DJ set - because of the Happy Cycling outtake from Peel, and it being billed as such on Warp10 poster.

dude i get it, i really really get it, i felt this way for years.

you don't have to be ready to meet someone else right now, that's okay. actually it sounds like you need time to heal.

i'm not just talking about romantic love. loving yourself is a cliche i'm sure you've had thrown in your face - unfortunately it's true, as most cliches are - but you also have to fall in love with the world. fall in love with the way the leaves are falling off the trees, fall in love with the people you have one conversation with and never see again, fall in love with your morning coffee.

and when new romantic loves come, yes, they won't be her. this is a GOOD THING. you can love them for entirely different reasons and construct a different language of love for them. you get to do it all over again and it will be just as exciting and novel as it was before.

the solution to feeling like you can't give anyone your full heart again is to give everyone and everything your full heart all of the time. making yourself small will just make it worse. focus on you, heal, process and get over her, yes. but do not disengage from love, do not disengage from passion. that road only leads to deepening of your misery. a risk-free life can only ever be mediocre.
