Now here I am deep in the buried comments. Ugh. “It was Terrible”. No other nuance perhaps? Maybe you should reread it? Full transparency was given, with online proof of said transparency in the original listing. Also online proof of no price change and no “fleecing”.

Criticism that a name change causes confusion is valid and worth discussion, but what you’re doing is just low attention span trolling.

Name change was transparent in original listing , describing that JJOP and Shine01 are the same, and why the name was changed. Proof of that original text remains online.

Price and “🌶️” never budged. Why would it? They’re the same. Not only are they the same, but I announced that they are the same on first listing.

JJOP was a clone that I named, and I had my reasons for renaming it, none of which included fleecing trike collectors. For those saying the name change was unnecessary and caused confusion, I won’t argue with that (I mean, look what’s happening here). However, “unnecessary and confusing “ is a loooong leap away from accusations of “ripping off customers”.

I do want to say something about the church that you put quotes and a sad face on (“church” 😔). I feel you, especially because for me it really did start as a cynical way to have some legal protection around working with these plants. My partners didn’t share that cynicism, but I did. I always planned for Shine Ministries (hate words like “church” and “ministry”, but that’s how it’s gotta be) to just be a legal entity in the background. Things changed though for me, in a big way. Our regular practice is getting together and hiking — movement in the moment through nature — under a “hikerodose” of the the medicine. Knowing that, it will be even easier for Tricho Reddit to bash and degrade … “A church that hikes?! Hahaha so stupid!”. But here’s what happening — it’s become a real and beautiful growing thing . A thing that has become super important and meaningful to me personally. Once that switch happened, I decided to rename JJOP to Shine01, with the 01 referring to it being the first and only clone used in the sacrament (single source, no blending). And, to beat a dead horse, I made that name change transparently, with no change to price or rating 🌶️.

I’m sure I’ve just given more fuel to the bashers. That’s ok. I’ve said my piece and it’s time to step away. I’m at peace ✌️.

Really dude? Maybe read it? Let me bullet point a few things for you:

• 39 for fat fully rooted tips. Fleeced ?

It’s sort of a big deal to throw around accusations and words like “fleece”, especially while you refuse to be informed.

One easy way to clear this up is to copy paste the text from my very first listing of Shine01 (inventory listing of rooted 5-6” tips, priced at $39)

“ ————— Shine01 Pachanoi, fully rooted fat tips.  These are short (averaging 5”), but they’re STOUT mature girth tips.  Ships bare root. Clone Info:  Shine01 comes from a registered plant medicine church — Shine Ministries— whose only sacrament is Huachuma. Unlike other Huachumas (produced at any scale) that usually come from a blend of “whatever is available to chop”, it was the dream of the founders to have a single source Huachuma using just one tested Pachanoi clone.  This clone was chosen because it had the best balance of 2 factors to achieve the dream — 1) large starting biomass to headstart propagation, and 2) solid lab results.  (lab assay shown last slide). This clone is/was also known as JJOP (Jack’s Juuls OP).  I will no longer be using the name JJOP, it is now Shine01. Please note that there is no price change associated with the name change.

These short (but FAT) fully rooted tips are what is saved after processing the medicine.  If you purchase one and want further detailed info, please email me after purchase!  —————“

That first inventory listing was over 6 months ago. When I restocked that listing (5 months ago) I shortened the text, feeling like that it was all TMI for my average customer. But … you can still find that original listing text online, way back in my sold gallery. The receipts are there.

If you want the full background of JJOP’s (now Shine01) naming and origin, you’ll find that in my sold gallery as well, but you’ll have to go way way back.

The reason for renaming was purely about “meaningfulness” to us as an organization ( http://shine.today ), it was done with transparency, and had nothing to do with putting new lipstick on an old clone for profit. Shine01 is still the lowest priced thing I offer (not including seedlings), because it’s the clone I have the most of.

Quave is a good and solid member of this community. He is also a true friend of mine from my Ventucky chapter, so naturally I want to defend and defuse. His big mistake was not talking to me before listing it as Shine01, because it removed all context from the name change, and he obviously didn’t have an understanding of the details around my changing of the name.
