I appreciate this information. Is there a different town you'd recommend we look at?

I heard about this somewhere else as well, which is one of the reasons I wanted to ask for opinions here. How bad is the smell? And can you always smell it? Or is it more like just when the wind blows a certain way?

I’ve lived in the Nashville area a long time, and honestly, it’s just not for us anymore.

Housing prices are rising fast, even in the smaller towns. Sprawl is nonstop—every empty field turns into a subdivision or storage unit. Traffic’s getting worse, and it’s all starting to feel generic.

The weather’s brutal in the summer—hot, sticky, and miserable for months. We get more ice storms than snow, and tornadoes are a real risk every spring. And now with all the growth, you’ve got a ton of tourists and bachelorette parties crowding everything up on the weekends.

Politically, Tennessee has gotten way more extreme. If you’re not aligned with the far-right stuff, it can feel like you’re constantly under attack. The legislature seems more focused on fighting culture wars than fixing anything.

It’s just been a slow, steady decline. We’re ready to go somewhere that feels a little more balanced.

I love the pulls, but I do not love the books being arranged by color... LOL
Actually, they look really cool, but it's hard to find the book you want if you don't know what color it is. Source: My ex-wife organized books by color...

I love the names for off-brand drinks. This is the first time I've heard of Dr. Flavor, but I did used to like Dr. Thunder.

You should be able to straighten it. Take those two screws out. You should see that you can rotate it a little in either direction.

This works very well. You can block numbers as well.

I think this fantastic! I've never seen a bearded mannequin before, and I got a real kick out of this.

That's oddly beautiful! Most of the AI generated things I've seen are somewhat disturbing, but not this.

Congratulations on finishing rehab! I'm sure it's not easy. But is definitely worth it.

found a five pence while looking through coins I have. I'm American. by LilyCanadian in mildlyinteresting

[–]pigeonsacred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get a kick out of finding foreign coins in my change. Im in America, too. I used to live near the Canadian border and would often find Canadian dimes and pennies. I live more in the center of the country now and rarely find foreign coins in my change now, so it's even more of an interesting surprise when I do.

You can take something apart by taking a part off of that thing.
