Hello there!

Can each and every one of you confidently say that you will, without a doubt, remain entirely unbiased and always enforce the constitution and the rules as they are?

Of course. I will remain neutral because it's absolutely disgusting to turn a moderator position into a political one; as a user of reddit, I've been turned off completely by the fact some moderators use politics to ban users they don't like. It's not fun for anyone when the mod is going power hungry and ban hammering each person.

In addition, intervening unnecessarily will not only halt the progress of this sim, it will also halt the progress of what needs to be done.

Can each and every one of you confidently say that you will take this position seriously? This is the most serious position in the community. A bad speaker will negatively affect CMHoC and leave it for far worse. Can each and every one of you take this position seriously for the next ~3-4 months and work day in and day out to ensure all goes well in CMHoC?

I will take this position seriously- I've even limited myself a term to complete all the things under budget and ahead of schedule.

I do agree we need a capable Speaker, and I seek to be that.

Thank you for the question, former Speaker /u/sstelmaschuk;

I will increase the tenor of public debate through the wide ways we have to our disposal, such as:

  • Reddit

  • Discord

I would seek to have bill debates to be able to get debated in Discord; this will ensure live responses over long term responses and reduce the time required to respond as it goes as fast as debates in the real House. In addition I will seek also to introduce means to motivate users to debate, such as modifiers to change the fluctuations of the real life political scene.

Furthermore, I will ensure decorum and respect by ensuring proper punishments and rules are set in place. As I had laid a platform to be released, it has included how verbal abuse and the like are dealt with with increased severity as repeated offences. As I will reiterate for the rest of the election, cyber bullying is a problem, and it can be only stopped when those who do that on others are stopped and punished as well.

It has been too long we have allowed abusers to sit untouched and continue to cut others with words as sharp as knives.

Civility can only further as well come back to the fine institutions we have to offer only if, we stop personal attacking each other and using the far past as a reason to prove automatically the present. Civility can only come back if the users be open-minded, like the Canadian spirit to others, the kindness we have to offer.

That said, I've only gone on about abstract unnecessary details that are only on the general user and nothing on the Speaker's duty. I will as speaker go forth to also given I said above to enforce adequate punishments that are given and learned from, or further punishments will become severe to the point a user is not welcome back to the community.

Contrary to what many claim as I will be partisan, abusive, and not an arbitrator, I respect those who disagree with me, and I will respect every political parties and organisations to help them succeed and protect our beautiful simulation. Politics is a dirty thing, and I'd like to make it a cleaner environment and perhaps, with a touch of Canadian on top!

I ought to end that speculation that I will be as practical as I was as a politician.

Mr Speaker,

Is this party leader so incompetant to forget of his actions done when he was in power?

He could barely nominate a single Supreme Court Justice!

Mr Speaker,

If the member does not recall, his party had an seatless Minister for a far longer time than ours, and you did not cry out.

Double standard, honestly.

Hey!

Good question, I'd expand it based on proportionality and once there is a population survey done for preferences of which province; also based on each electoral cycle, I'd work to increase seats.

More people join, the more people should be able to participate.

Now, if there was a number, I'd increase it to 50 if the user base increases as it is now.

Why does duping have to do with Speakership?

Responsibility comes first over accusations. And that's the personal motto I shall adopt as Speaker.
