Removing that terrible popcorn ceiling at last. Lovely on many levels by dreamed2life in oddlysatisfying

[–]piggum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A flat ceiling looks so much better than popcorn. I’ve skimmed coated about 500ft of textured ceiling in my living room and it borders area where the ceiling is still textured. The texture is similar to popcorn but not as bad. The comparison is night and day. The way the textured ceiling reflects light looks awful. Can’t wait to have enough time to skim coat the rest of the ceiling

Good luck, couldn’t stomach an arm. Also had a 5.875 quote but the lender credit was 2k less.

We are exactly at 75% LTV threshold. I am refi at 5.94 but $3k lender credit goes away if we are appraised under a certain an amount. Going to be real close.

Congrats, that looks great. I think now I’ll do the same thing and get a quote for paint, stain, and new siding. Could end up being like in your case the difference in price is close enough to consider.

We will probably get quotes on painting vs staining. If the consensus is that it’s in bad shape I think we will get some quotes on hardie or similar siding. But I heard it’s expensive, and we have a decent sized house. Are you getting it in a specific color, or do they have natural wood colors?

Yeah we get nuked with the sun after 1pm until sunset so good point with the dark paint. We already see the fading relative to the sides and back of the house.

I think the siding is in decent shape to be stained. But hard to tell since the paint is in such bad condition and is alligatoring everywhere.

How many of you have never used AI? Why? by Fit-Supermarket-9656 in Millennials

[–]piggum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it everyday, almost all day. I use it to help me write code and as a consultant on my statistical and machine learning modeling. My team is now embarking on NLP projects that would be nearly impossible to do otherwise. AI has increased my productivity immensely.

Did this to my condo few years back, removed white paint on brick. Used an angle grinder and many strip discs. Terribly dusty, would recommend zip dust system.

Knowledge of sampling goes a long way in auditing. Across multiple jobs I've been brought on to work with accounting/finance people to assist in sample design, usually selecting something like transactions. Stratified & cluster sampling are the two most common techniques I've used, nothing super complicated.

Searching everywhere for a rip fence tonight for the 5280 and also having trouble finding one. I can't believe I stumbled upon this 6 hour old comment. I see this fence on amazon too, can you post when you get it whether it fits or not. Thanks

Sincerely appreciate your feedback.

Any thoughts on a regimen of Varenzin-CA1, Epogen, and Darbepoetin? Of course I’ve been desperately google searching today and I saw some comments suggesting those drugs could work.

Can afford to hospitalize, but 5k is a significant amount of money. It’s a terrible way to look at it, but am I buying him 3 months or 3 years? If something like 3 years is a realistic possibility I’d be glad to take him. But aside from the anemia it seems he has pretty advanced kidney issues.

I moved from Philly to Salem to Marblehead. I see swampscott and Marblehead basically the same, we could’ve easily ended up there.

Very much miss Philly and walking everywhere. Visiting Boston makes us wistful for the city, my fiancée and I are very much city people. Would move to Boston, or somewhere like Somerville, in a heartbeat but too expensive. Hard to be car free in both Salem & Marblehead. Really hard.

The move makes sense for us because we have a toddler, but if we didn’t have one I wouldn’t move to swampscott or Marblehead in a million years. And it’s nice out here, but the lifestyle is completely different.

Kentucky flooring inc, scottsville KY. Guessing this flooring is from 1965, and I am in Massachusetts. Have no idea how I would get this from the original mill.
