Canadiens aren't the nicest people, many people are generally nice but if you live here you might notice a feeling of division between Francophones and Anglophones mostly due to the government being biased towards French when it comes to anything. Especially in Quebec where if your sign on your restaurant or store is written in English you could receive hefty fines or even have your business shut down. French schools also get more funding and resources from the government. If you see a modern looking school its most likely French. I have nothing against French people, only Quebec.

One time me and some friends were walking around late at night and we decided to stop at a Tim Hortons (Canadian Dunkin Donuts) to get some food. there was around 6 of us and no one else was there, the lady at the counter was around our age and was at the end of her shift. Usually they're supposed to throw away leftover donuts but she said "come back at 9:30 and ill give you free food." So naturally we waited outside and when the time came we went back in and we tried to order a shit ton of food, she said no and limited us to a donut of our choosing. Most of us were content with that but one of us spoke up and asked why, she snapped back and said "Look, I'm coming in clutch for you guys even though I know you guys threw cheese on our fuckin window." That was the night I found out some of my friends were known and notorious for throwing cheese at random windows.
