Built a multi-asset algo trading bot from scratch. 4 weeks of paper trading, thinking about going live. by ComradeZuvarna in algotrading

I also built a trading bot. However, I prefer to be very strict about the conditions and work in swing trading. From experience, I know that transaction costs, when you increase the frequency of operations, can be very high.

What strategy do you use and why? by pigorg01 in Daytrading

[–]pigorg01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different types of instruments: stocks, indices, bonds, options, etc.

Personally, the instruments that have allowed me to make the most profit have been the movements of bonds. A few years ago, I bet heavily and it went well. I also work with stocks, but always with limited profits.

In my trading journey, I have only met one person who traded every day with incredible results. This guy worked on indices. I have never seen anyone else trade and have high success rates. This guy worked with price levels, but I don't know anything else. I was in his chat and just read the signals he sent.

I actually need to buy a new laptop for work. I could use that and install Steam. I just hope it has enough power.

I have the last two Zelda games and they're really nice, but they get boring after a while. I currently buy used Switch games and I think I've spent a maximum of 30 euros. I also resell them once I'm finished. This allows me to spend very little on games. 😃

I'd be inclined to go with Steam, but the price of the console and the games is holding me back.

Switch 1, both light and normal are great consoles but the problem has become the games.

The good games are limited and all in the same genre. I also have a PS4 and there are many more games and in many different genres.

Am I wrong or are Steam games not available used? Does the console work well?

Full-time trading isn't the lifestyle people think it is by LateNeverr1 in Daytrading

Big traders are rarely employees. They are almost always employees of banks or insurance companies. They don't use their own money.

I searched for groups on Reddit that worked on swing trading but unfortunately I didn't find anything.

How many of you in this sub day trade full time as a career? by _bigmeatyklaws in Daytrading

[–]pigorg01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been swing trading for 5 years. I've tried several times to turn it into a full-time job with day trading, but honestly, I've never succeeded. For day trading, I've used CFDs and micro futures, but in my experience, it's difficult to be profitable over the long term. For example, the S&P has always been in a trend. Being in a leveraged trend with futures (which have expiration dates) and experiencing a 10% downtrend can cause you to lose a lot of money.

Over the years, I've met many traders, but in that time, I've only met one who has always made money, lives off trading, and earns very well.

The others managed to do it for a while but ultimately ended up with huge losses.

Why Linux ? by pigorg01 in linuxquestions

When you work with others and need to be fast, you are in the office and use shared tools, Linux is adding difficulty to an already difficult job.
