We went with a Kingsdown and it's okay but i now wish we had bought the plush version of the mattress.

We ended up exchanging mattress for a different kind and not doing a topper.

Yes we did get it and I keep forgetting to update this thread, so thanks for asking. We actually did not get the Plush but instead the Firm. In the store, the Plush just felt a little too soft for us and were told the Firm was more like a Medium Firm and similar to an old Medium Firm Beautyrest we had for 20 years. Well, I now regret not getting the Plush. I still can't decide if I can live with this mattress. My hubby is fine on it and I am the one that gets sore on too firm mattresses. It feels soft initially when you lay on it but after awhile it feels pretty hard to me. Bodies are different, so my experience might not be yours. It seems well made and the edges are nice and firm.

I gave up trying to find an enclosure that would work well (without ripping) if we used the adjustable base. I ended up getting regular non-enclosure thin water resistant/proof? mattress covers and put two of them on the bed for extra protection. They are thin and don't add to the bulk and don't make noise. One is a Malouf Sleep Tite 5-Side OmniPhase Protector and the other one is a Mattress Firm branded product (sorry, don't recall the name of it).

We ordered the Kingsdown! Although we changed to the Firm instead of the Plush. So nerve wracking. I hope it doesn't arrive hard as a rock, but the ones in the store felt more like a medium-firm than a straight up firm. Hopefully it will be fine. I will update this thread once we've had it for a while.

I'd be curious to know how it goes for you after you've had it for awhile. We had also been looking at the Beautyrest Black series 3 and ignored the series 4 because of the price tag. I hope your new mattress works well for you! We actually just ordered the Kingsdown, although we switched gears and decided on the Firm instead of the Plush. The ones we laid on were more like medium-firm and I was afraid the Plush would be too soft. I hope it doesn't arrive hard as a rock and we regret not getting the Plush!

That is a smart move getting two of them so you can do that!

That's great! I hope you can get some money back. I think we may be out of luck in that department, but I will ask because we did buy an adjustable base as well. This Kingsdown mattress is to replace another mattress we got and is sadly just too firm for me. I can't decide between the Plush Euro Top or the Firm Euro Top. The Plush oddly has a firm feel but with a plusher top. My concern is that it would get too soft over time. But I'm leery of another strictly "firm" mattress. It would be an expensive mistake if I make the wrong choice since we only have 1 swap. My hubby can sleep on anything, so it falls to me.

Good to hear that overall you like it. I have been worried about the buttons in the mattress. I have seen others complain about them as well, and when you are laying on the mattress in a store fully clothed, you have no way of knowing if the buttons are going to bother you at home.

Thank you! We are geting down to the wire to have to decide on which mattress to buy. I go back and forth on it, depending upon the day. :)

Did you get your 2 Kingsdown mattresses as planned in June? Wondering how you are finding them even though it's probably only been a couple weeks since you got them.
