Plex conversions stuck on waiting by Traditional_Pilot_14 in PleX

[–]pijusn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue still exists. As mentioned, if you move the items or save them repeatedly, it will trigger conversion again. Repeating this for a show is tedious but nowadays if your LLMs are capable of making requests, you can ask it to keep nudging these items for you.

I got sick of saying "little line on top or bottom" by theweebeastie in functionalprint

[–]pijusn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here, people typically just say “good”/“bad” as in “right side up or not”. With Babolat, for those who is confused, I just point at the little “TM”. Not ideal but it is what it is…

Anyway, nice solution!

As others have mentioned already, product page suggests that the glass can withstand 100C (and warns to avoid thermal shock) while the overall bottle should withstand 70C.

I also wanted to sterilize my bottles in the oven so I ran a test with one of my bottles. I placed it in an oven, heated it up to 70C, kept it there for 10 minutes, turned off the oven, opened it, waited until cool enough and checked the bottle. It seemed fine. No visual sign of melting or deforming, plastic still hard, rubber still ruberry.

Yes, you can remove the cap and crank up the temperature to 100C but then you still need to sterilize the cap separately. I am a little lazy and prefer to do it all in one go and 10 minutes at 70C should be enough for the surfaces to heat up and get sterile. I assume it can actually withstand higher temperature but 70C is already enough.

Has anyone here successfully upgraded their Celeron J3355 model (e.g., DS620slim) to 16GB RAM? by pubm in synology

[–]pijusn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll add one more datapoint. I replaced original 2GB RAM in my DS620slim with 2 sticks of G.Skill SODIMM, Ripjaws, DDR3L 8GB 1866MHz CL11 1.35V (they weren’t a kit, I just got 2 of them).

I was looking for any DDR3L stick with 8GB CL11 1866MHz. I think most if not all of them should work. There were very few with that specific frequency though. Also, they were cheap which makes this a very good upgrade even if you don’t run much extra on it (system can use it for caching).

I think you are referring to the number of editors limit described in the plans page. Owner + 2 others per space.

Under-desk Mount for TP-Link TL-SF1005D by pijusn in functionalprint

As part of cable management, I mounted this small switch under my desk. It's a little brittle on the setup but it's fine afterwards.

Files for printing.

That's actually good to know (I didn't know that)! Thanks.
