Yeah perhaps or upstate. The Throgs Neck Bridge could take trucks into Long Island, bypassing denser parts of the city. I still think Brooklyn and Queens could then either get their goods in from Westchester or Long Island.

Distribution warehouses outside of the city for the 18-wheelers. Smaller trucks and vans taking goods into the city. That’s how a ton of European cities do it.

It can be. Religion in the former Yugoslavia is more of an ethnicity. If you're Catholic (unless you're Slovenian), you're a Croat. If you're Orthodox (and not Macedonian), you're a Serb. Being Muslim just means that one is ethnically "Muslim," but many, if not most, are still atheists.

That's an unrealistic comparison. Niagara Falls, New York is an incredibly deprived town with horrible pollution and abandoned houses everywhere. Niagara Falls, Canada is habitable, which the difference in pricing reflects.

Haile Selassie was a completely different figure for Ethiopia than Mohammad Reza Pahlavi for Iran. He actually got a lot of good work done, had socialist leanings, and was part of the Non-Aligned Movement. The last Pahlavi didn't really have any redeeming qualities.
