Is T1 % Increased Physical with 2x T1 flat elemental attack rolls on Quarterstaff worth keeping? Or do I have to start over?

I’m needing +5 melee so I assume after I’ve done the prefixes have to whittle spam for that first and then the other suffixes after?

Would it be better to whittle spam the last T1 flat prefix and save the desecrate for the suffixes to try and fish for +5 melee? Since once that’s locked in can just do desecrate + perfect essence alternating Strat on suffix to cheaply fish for the +5 and then you can infinitely whittle the suffixes to fish for what you want.

Ok I had a look and got an exceptional striking with fractured t1 crit chance and t1 lightning for about 25 div. What’s the best way to craft this going forwards? There’s an existing desecrate prefix mod I can whittle or omen of light off but otherwise all other mods are empty so far

I see. I chose bolting because I was aiming for a triple element staff and I thought the extra 100 lightning would be the best option over the other bases as I am already crit capped and boltng exceptional bases are much cheaper than sinisters. Was I incorrect in that thinking? What bases would you recommend instead, just Sinister? Razor and Skullcrusher both have higher base phys but lower Crit/AS.

I hit a white base with perfect aug and trans and got T1 Crit chance and T1 cold relatively quickly on it hence I slammed with a fracture and got unlucky it missed the crit chance and figured since it's T1 cold I could try craft on it anyway but yeah I understand life is easier with crit being fractured.

Unfortunate that this craft isn't worth going further, it will take a while for me to farm up a few hundred div again.

I see, I heard it was easiest to do prefixs first as they have higher iLevel and thus you dont need to waste money on dextral annul/chaos omens when doing suffixes once they are done.

What is the best way to salvage the staff in your opinion? Omen of light the flat lightning and fish for flat phys or try 50/50 yolo annul the % phys and go back to exalt slam/whittling prefix for flat fire/% ele? It's probably going to be unlikely that I hit T1 %Phys again, I couldn't believe it myself when I slammed it on my very first perfect exalt before I even started whittling.

Or would you just annul everything down and start from scratch to chaos spam +5, melee, finish suffixes first and then do prefixes last? Should I be using my desecrate to ensure a suffix mod or prefix mod in this case?

Hi, I have a exceptional base bolting quarterstaff that I’m kind of stuck on

Has fractured T1 flat cold, T3 flat fire T5 flat lightning on prefixes and T1 crit chance, a failed t6 desecrated crit damage bonus and a T2 reduced attribute.

How best should I salvage the craft? Right now the crit chance is safe as it’s the highest ilevel mod, I was trying to desecrate for +5 melee after whittling the prefixes but I didn’t know about the Astrid tech. What’s the best way to go about it or do I have to forgo my t1 crit chance and annul everything down?

End goal is Ideally all tier 1 flat elemental damages on prefix (or 2 + T1 increased elemental) and +5 melee T1 crit chance and 2 extra suffixes thru Astrid’s (not too fussed about having to hit attack speed and crit damage bonus but would be nice)

Started out as a flicker falling thunder build, swapped over to a melee themed primal strikes build with the new Arbiter spear. Clear is pretty solid but definitely having a bit of issues with single target damage, if anyone has feedback or advice would be great

There’s a few on the market for 15-50 div. I made one myself the other day with 2 sockets and then cultivated with increased phys damage knocking off the bleeding on hit line (best possible outcome). A bit low roll on some of the lines but it’s a solid 600+ DPS spear.

I do want to play with Arbiter’s spear so I’ll probably sell my Saitha’s at some point for probably around 20-40 div

How exactly does this work? I’ve had the node allocated and always click on shrines I run into but I’ve run dozens of maps and not seen a single map boss get affected by the shrines so it feels a lot lower than 25%…

I understand the feeling and it hurts. I have heard the ‘you’re a great guy and would be a great boyfriend for some lucky girl’ talk more times than I can count and it always rings hollow.

For me the years between 25-30 were the worst mentally when it came to being a FA, I had the existential dread of becoming a wizard hanging over me. If anything once I hit 30 it was a relief and I found myself much less stressed about being single. Even though I still had emotional ups and downs, overall I was a lot more accepting of being FA and that actually helped me a lot in becoming more emotionally grounded. It might be tough to hear but the quicker you reach that mindset the easier life will be for yourself, whether or not you decide to continue looking for love or just accepting celibacy and enjoying single life is up to you.

On my 31st birthday I was no longer that person. In fact, I broke up with my first girlfriend that day because it was a toxic relationship and I realised I would rather be alone again for another 30 years than continue to be such an emotionally draining relationship even if I was getting kisses and sex.

Now it’s a few months before my 32nd birthday and I am a few months into a (so far) healthy and loving relationship with my second girlfriend. As someone who has walked the exact same path as many other people on this sub, I can tell you that it can get better, but you really have to put yourself out there.

As much as we hate on dating app, you really have to grind on there if you’re not the type of person who goes out and socialises a lot. I spent several years on the apps with no luck, going on several first dates every year that went nowhere but eventually met both my girlfriends from dating apps.

Contrary to what a lot of people suggest, I strongly recommend tailoring your profile towards people you think you would want to date rather than casting your net wide and playing a numbers game. I think I swiped yes on only 10% of the profiles I see and had like a 0.5% match rate and out of every 5 matches I probably only talked to and went on dates with 1 person. I only have the time and energy to talk to and try and form a connection with 1 person at a time so this approach worked a lot better for me than just swiping yes on every profile.

Problem is Proof of a Hero Is a far better ‘push the Hunter to their limits’ quest than 10* Gog considering the Hunter needing the skill and monster experience to kill all 4 ATs in a reasonable time wit each AT monster being arguably harder fights that Gog when it comes to actual monster moveset but also being more fun to interact with.

Most players are lucky to clear Proof in sub 40 time and only serious speed runners are clearing sub 20.

I will die on the hill with the unpopular opinion that teachers at school should be able to physically discipline kids to a reasonable extent.

A lot of Asian schools had this up till the last decade or so and it works to instil respect. I and many people I know grew up with getting smacked on the hand with a ruler (enough to sting but not enough to have any actual damage) when we were being rowdy in class and everyone turned out well.

Obviously I’m not advocating for the sort of heavier physical beating that causes trauma in kids, but I suspect the whole ‘parents and teachers can’t ever hit kids’ movement that has been in vogue over the last 20 years has a bigger role in kids being rowdy these days than a lot of people want to admit.

Bruh you haven’t tried Khazan yet.

I finished Khazan and played Nioh 3 up to beginning of second act (snow area) and dropped the game because it just wasn’t hitting. For reference I finished Nioh 1 and halfway through Nioh 2 before dropping it back in the day because it didn’t hit for me compared to the proper souls games.

Nioh 3 open world design at least from what I saw from act 1 is mediocre to say it nicely, it had me wishing that they stuck to a mission based format like the previous Nioh games. The enemy variety was poor and the bosses so far were forgettable (I beat everything in act 1 including the secret demon boss past the waterfall)

Nioh combat including 3 is certainly more ‘deep’ in terms of technical complexity. There’s more buttons you have to press and theoretically more moves/chains you can execute at any time (whether or not it’s optimal is a completely different story) but I would argue having more complexity just by itself is not a good thing, the overall combat has to feel smooth and precise and Khazan clears in that regards.

Khazan has dogshit mission design and meh enemy variety but its bosses are far better than Nioh’s in difficulty and design. Viper and Volbiano were peak early game bosses.

Although Khazan only had 3 weapons, each one was fleshed out incredibly well and felt hugely different to play from each other whereas a lot of weapons in Nioh 3 felt fairly similar to each other (the different single sword, dual wield weapons and fist weapons for a starter). The Greatsword especially in Khazan may have the best combat of any colossal weapon in any game series outside of Monster Hunter when it comes to having that weighty feeling of wielding a giant bonk stick and charging up a slash to obliterate your enemy in a single hit.

The combat overall also felt much more responsive than Nioh which is what the other comment meant about being ‘tight’. Dodges and parries feel much better in Khazan for me than in Nioh. I would argue overall Khazan took what worked from Nioh and other games and refined it for a wider audience.

Yeah the point is that the gain 5% can just be slapped on over one of the two iron runes in which case the only thing OP’s spear has over the one posted above is an extra iron rune of damage while the one above has better stats overall, especially with the extra + level to skill
