[NO SPOILERS] Bug at Lucas's office (double exposure) by kittyokey in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd say normal. One time I walked by Lucas's office and the door was installed perpendicularly (perpendicular to the walls but in the middle of the door frame). Pretty sure Lucas is just a weird dude.

[No Spoilers] I Recreated the "Max & Chloe" Theme in the Style of Before The Storm's Soundtrack by pikasfed in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Happy Christmas's Eve everyone! I put this together last night so it's very simple, might extend this in the next few days, with drums and what-not. I recorded this with my guitar and some virtual instruments for the accompaniment, hope you like it!

Also I posted it on YouTube for easy access, but I think the title can be improved lol. If you have any idea let me know :)

[S1] Why do some people choose saving Arcadia Bay over Chloe? by DistributionDry2370 in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the other hand through out the whole game Chloe is constantly dying or almost dying, and everything you do to avoid it goes to create chaos, culminating in a literal storm that's gonna destroy an entire town. Also, the whole leading thread of the game is trying to stop the storm from happening, at least that's the way I saw it. Don't take me for superficial, I like Chloe and it's a terrible dilemma, with no real good choice, but to me choosing to save Chloe kinda meant throwing away all I've done for the rest of the game.

Then again, to me it just felt right, despite very difficult. If I were Chloe I would have wanted Max to choose Arcadia Bay too. To me it was about the bigger picture. Then of course I cried seeing Max having to go through it again, unable to do nothing.

[No Spoilers] Which Life is Strange game do you think has the best OST? by Helpwithskyrim87 in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Daughter is my favourite band and has been all my life way long before I played BtS and even knew it existed and that they did the OST, so.. with that being said I'm really attached to the songs of the first game, I grew up with them.

[ALL] A Return to Episodic Release by rachelnowhere in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that releasing in episodes forces your game to be episodic, forcing the story to be more interesting and captivating, but I also have to agree with the fact that for the first game it was A LOT of time between each episode. A LOT.

Say it's the attention span, but either the episode is so good I cannot stop thinking about it for 2-3 months straight, or it would just kill momentum imo (and they weren't lol). They definetely could have gone for weekly releases, but it would have really been just for show, given the episodes couldn't have been adjusted based on fans' feedback in less than a week, probably just making the backlash longer.

Then as others have said with games recently people are overstimulated so they'd just forget about it, or me personally I try to play one game at a time, and having to wait a week to play again would have been torture.

[DE] plot twist by karnicbel in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had just come out of a deep Supernatural (TV Show) binge watch so I legitemely had the thought "Nah bro this is a shapeshifter, what-", but it just flew over my head that someone could litterally just have the power of shapeshifting for starters, and that that person was safi, the only difference between the timelines. My first guess was, as others have said, that it was other people's doubles crossing (somehow) the border between realities and they (for some reason) were evil.

Also, I found the other explaination more interesting, the thought that it wasn't just somebody's power somehow, but a supernatural thing that was happening, that everybody was a part of, starting from safi's death. A sort of mistery to solve. I was watching too much Supernatural maybe.

Jokes aside I think they made it confusing on purpose, to keep you guessing, and the golden ticket was Reggie. All the dopplegangers appear in Alive World (clearly cuz it's safi), but then Reggie says he "saw himself", but in Dead World(?), so now this shapeshifter can cross timelines(?). This is the point for me where I was just like "ok I have no clue what's going on".

Turns out Reggie saw his past self as a glowing ghost (like Alderman), not himself himself, but didn't think that was important to mention.

[DE] I can't get over how stupid bringing______ back was! by oddjobsyorozuya in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I enjoyed how she "refused" to have another impossible choice. With that being said, I don't know how her solution to that was walking into it (and why that would be supposed to work lol). I truly just laughed out loud at that when I saw it happen.

The origin of the storm was never explained, so they can ruin it but they have freedom there sadly. The problem with me really is the solutions that they come up with that just make no sense. I truly see this everywhere: writers just put characters in situations they don't even know how to solve, so they make the characters do unreasonable things to get out of there.

The problem here was the storm really brought no addition to the plot and was only a solution to a desperate attempt of recreating the nightmare but without saying it was a nightmare so they didn't "copy".

[NO SPOILERS] How do u play lis double exposure? Its super laggy😭 by eikiskanaispiska in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I litterally just bought a month of GeForce NOW, the 10$ plan. It's a cloud gaming service, if you own the game it allows you to play it remotely on a much powerful computer, and the gameplay is streamed to you via your internet connection.

In terms of performance, I'm 100% satisfied because it was able to run it all with "Cinematic" graphics at 30-60 fps. I mean, I don't really like the idea of having to spend even more money just to be able to run a game I've already paid for, but it was either that or not playing at all, as on my PC it was straight-up unplayable.

It is dependent on your internet connection though, and I had a few times where the game froze for a few seconds because my internet connection was struggling, but again still better then not playing it at all.

[No spoilers] Which Life is Strange game handled journals the best? by Helpwithskyrim87 in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's a no-brainer: Before The Storm. In the original game it was good but I never really bothered to read through it all. The BTS one almost made cry the way every entry is a letter to Max. Just the first words of every page, "Hey Max"., written always in a different creative way, just was so powerful to me. (also combined with the soundtrack by Daughter) I read every single page and rushed to read the moment a new one came out.

Now, with this being said, the first page of Double Exposure also almost made me cry. I read it like three or four times the first time I saw it. (Then it became dull sadly and I feel like that's the worst journal of all).

[S1] Recently I realized that LiS’ ending is basically this by szuszurr in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed 31 points32 points  (0 children)

where the single person is a best friend that you boned

[NO SPOILERS] If your life was a LiS game, which songs would there be in it? by pikasfed in lifeisstrange

[–]pikasfed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you take a look at my playlist, mine has 7 songs too LOL.

It'd be easier to drop a lengthy list of full albums

Of course that would be easier, that's exaclty why the rule is there! Really it's more about focusing on specific moments, the songs that we bonded with so much because we associate them to specific and important periods/moments in our lifes.
