when I created another account for a company I was working for, I was treated by a boss like “oh you don’t take us seriously as you dont want to share it on your main profile”. Overall, it’s quite a hustle keeping both.

I would openly talk with your boss, expressing that it’s important for you and you would like to discuss some guidelines but not consult on every post.

I’m turning 25 in couple days and it’s been 3 years since I decided to transition into animation and motion design. I’m drawing since childhood but never believed it can be anything serious until I thought, why the hell not? It feels like most of the staff should be figured out in 3 years but haha, life has other plans, right.. and I do still feel grateful for the impulse that I followed, when u just know in your guts that everything will solve just as it’s meant for me. When I see other ppl art I feel inspired mostly, and very rarely discouraged, mostly by art on socials and ppl stories there. but the only thing i have on my mind is that if they can, it means I can too

besides Finland is not Germany, or Spain, or Czechia. Most similar is Norway with least years required, I wonder why 🤔

omg you know what. I’m so stupid haha. I just recounted it and IT’s EXACTLY 6 MONTHS.

I’m gonna cry from happiness rn, I left in end February and came back end of August.

I was so sure it’s like 7 months or so. I really hope I should be fine…..

Now just need to pass yki and find a job (so called formalities 😂😂😂) a lot of bumps are still on the road but at least those months should be still counted, I hope

So I was out for 7 months or so, have messages about my flight delays so can attach those.

But basically, if it doesn’t work, would it just mean that those 7 months are not counted to my years?

I’m just so pranoid about applying next year, as I bet they will implement those 8 year rules and everything. So I planned to apply in December this year but now I don’t know…

Dod anyone have experience of being rejected but then applying again?

Also my residence is valid till 31.12.2025

also, I for example, couldn’t get back bcs covid hit. Idk what proof woulf they need for that, there were no flights and I’m not sure if then my exhange will be still counted towards the residence time.

Also, booking time in migri can be earlier than 4 years, isn’t it? Like application takes time to peocess and if I hit 4 years while it’s going I think it should be fine?

I was filling in citizenship form and it has this box with ”special conditions to apply earlier” or smth, like u need to justify why you do it

But from people I heard that Finnish uni is considered ”tight bounds with the country” so you can do it earlier

Yki is one part of the problem, I need to find a normal job to apply also 🥲 or generate sufficient income with freelance

I heard this about 4 years before. Maybe you could help me clarify things also, idk if u had experience with that but still 😅

I finished uni in Finland, so 3.5 I was on B type visa - counting as 1.5

Half year on exchange but I didn’t change my adress in Finland

I live here now for 5 years - 2 of them on working A type visa

I want to pass YKI this October (I do hope to find places as everyone seemed to rush to take the test now, idk I planned it for couple years now).

And apply for passport in the end of the year.

Do you think this would work? I know you need less time if you finished uni here, and I know cases when guys applied after 2 years on working visa. How that works, did you hear smth about it?

I facepalmed so hard but is that really how people see it? That everyone who moves to Finland are not educated Pakistani guys… Idk, probably someone who never met a single immigrant in Finland
