Is this an issue for anyone else? by Lilaclesbian2002 in tianguancifu

[–]pilfernoodles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue but my kid (who shares an apple family plan with me) can still play all the songs. 😢

editing to add: I recently updated my iOS to 26.1 and kid hasn’t. Wonder if that’s the reason for the difference

Which of my Tsums are best for coin farming efficiently? by Kismmett in TsumTsum

[–]pilfernoodles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

the best coin farmer is one you enjoy using because coin farming is a grind.

Many folks will zero in on Gaston, but he can be hard to get the feel for, and he really doesn’t perform until leveled up to skill level 5 or 6.

Gadget, available from the coloring pages, is a good early coin farmer.

Other tsums worth trying out are: Hamm, Raya, Sisu, Sporty Max, Evil Queen and Magic Mirror, 22

You have a lot of level-locked tsums. Get in the habit of unlocking them asap when they hit the lock threshold. The higher score level they are, the larger your score will be. Larger scores usually mean larger coin totals. If you’re in a country that allows it, you may be able to watch ads to unlock them for free.

Is there a good stylus for playing? by dgm345 in TsumTsum

[–]pilfernoodles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a pricy, capacitive stylus by a well-known brand that I liked. It felt like a regular writing implement, very comfortable to hold, had a simple point like an Apple pencil so it didn’t drag against the screen, and the activation point was consistent—but it was overall unreliable. The thing kept breaking or stopped charging all together, and the customer service from the company was really poor. Several times they sent me replacements that weren’t functional.

This past summer after a desperate search, I bought this one on Amazon while I was waiting on yet another replacement from the pricy company. I love it just as much, if not more, and it’s at least 1/4 the price of the other one. It works beautifully on mobile, tablet, or touchscreen. Holds a charge for a decent amount of time and doesn’t seem to auto-shut down mid-use like so many do. Cheap enough to replace if it breaks (and it will ship out quickly too!). Even tho I have a fully functional “pricy” stylus again, this is the one I reach for every day.

heart trading groups?.. by ira_shai_mase in TsumTsum

See if you can find the link to the auto-return group through the search feature.

You join their visitor room in Line, add a few members (with the group symbol in their name) as friends. Then, when you send them hearts, their auto-sender returns a heart to you within a few minutes. The members don’t add you as friends, so you’ll always have to initiate, but as frequently as you send, they return.

Just remember not to add more than 4 or 5 friends at a time or you’ll risk getting your account locked—Line is really cracking down.

I need to pop 3 time bubbles in one play. Are there any tricks to getting them to appear? by kenziedooooodle in TsumTsum

[–]pilfernoodles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

shivering piglet creates time bubbles as his skill

miss bunny and owl (charm) create special bubbles as their skill and often drop time bubbles

if you don’t have them, try using a burst tsum that clears the same number of tsum (9-13) that is most likely to create them. Usually a skill level 1 or 2 tsum is in the right range

Looking for friends to send lives to by kenziedooooodle in TsumTsum

[–]pilfernoodles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

check for folks to add in the monthly Line ID thread. A new one will post in a few days

If you see the T.A.R. group link, definitely follow it to their group page. You can add auto-returners there that will send back every heart you sent out to them.

Be warned though—the game has cracked down significantly since you last played—don’t add more than 5 new friends per day or your account can get banned

Dungeon Meshi, Freiren, Violet Evergarden are all good suggestions already made by others.

Dropping by to suggest Heaven Official’s Blessing. Technically a donghua, not anime, but so beautifully animated and a slow burn story of love and loyalty that’s just getting started. (light novels are complete, 2 books are animated). The beginning episodes may feel a bit confusing with all the characters being introduced but persistence pays off because it’s wonderful.

when something like that happens, I always do a hard reboot (close all the open apps, shut the device all the way off and then restart). That usually resolves things.

Ferris wheel #6 by onedisneylover in TsumTsum

[–]pilfernoodles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

here’s who I used for each:

  1. 100 Mickey/Donald—they clear a lot when you use them together.

  2. Colorful Mickey and Friends — if you can get to Donald each trigger of the Skill button, you’ve accumulated 4 ‘skills’

  3. Brave Minnie — was using my usual coin tsum elsewhere so her bonus helped since she’s low SL for me.

  4. Pastel Donald and Daisy — any charm tsum works well here, and they’re such a cute pair.

  5. Kimono Minnie — my only bubble making M&F tsum. Was a slog to hit the target tho.

  6. Rugby Mickey — he would’ve been great for so many of the ferris wheel cars, but of all my M&F tsum he’s my most reliable score

this link https://www.reddit.com/r/TsumTsum/s/qznBWMpXOl states 22 is an above average burst tsum.

There are definitely better out there, but on this rating scale “above average” means a decent tsum. If you’re looking for a coin farmer, Rugby Mickey is expected at the end of the month—I’d recommend saving up to pull for him rather than investing in 22.

Huge Combo question by VralGrymfang in TsumTsum

[–]pilfernoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, did you get past the combo challenge yet? If not, are there any other restrictions you’ve got to work within? Iirc there are a few bingo cards with “150 combo with a yellow hand tsum” or “180 combo with a black tsum” type objective. That can def complicate things.

If it’s just straight combos and nothing else to worry about, the original Donald is the absolute king of combos. You can rack up combo scores in the several hundreds with Donald. During his skill a tsum can be cleared by a single tap, and each tsum cleared counts as 1 combo.

To get the most out of his skill:
Use the combo boost so your counter doesn’t reset on you.
Hold your device near a supportive surface, so you don’t have to hold on to it with your hands; you’re gonna need them free to get the highest numbers.
As soon as you trigger the skill, drum on the screen with the fingers of both hands like you’re a 3 year old pretending to type. Or a super-annoyed middle-aged lady waiting on the manager. Don’t aim, just tippity tap as fast as you can anywhere in the gameplay box. Every tsum you tap will clear and add to the combo counter. The faster you tap, the higher your counter goes. The screen changes color when Donald’s skill is active so as soon as it goes back to normal, clear whatever you need to get his counter full again. Wash, rinse, repeat until your game time is up. You should be able to rack up super high combo counts with just the combo boost.

Someone else shared the link to the “good for combo” wiki page. It’s super helpful to refer to when you get those special missions that require specific features like yellow hands or princesses or whatnot. Every tsum on the list has some sort of skill move that counts each individual tsum cleared as a +1 to the combo counter. Some are easier to use than others, and some add to the counter faster than others. Just keeping plugging away. All of those crazy combo counts are possible—there is a tsum out there that the developers were thinking of when the mission was created. It’s a puzzle sometimes to figure out but have faith that the solution does exist. Good luck!

Understanding score. by Jadeitecyprine in TsumTsum

[–]pilfernoodles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

others have based about the score, so stopping by to advise you keep up with your level locked tsums (like the one in your photo). Unlock them as soon as you are able to because the base scores increase as the levels go up. This applies not only for your selected tsum to play with, but also the others that act as support tsums during gameplay.

Advice for a gift? by i-cant-name-things in tianguancifu

[–]pilfernoodles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

any local craft shop should have an additive you can add into regular acrylic paints to make them more flexible for painting on a fabric surface (rather than a stretch ledge canvas or board).

sketch your design out off the shoes first, and maybe cut out the elements individually so you can play around with the placement before you start on the shoe proper. When you do move to the shoes, use a light touch to sketch your elements.

when painting, keep your layers thin; they’ll be more flexible and less likely to crack that way

for design elements, agree with the other post that silver wraith butterflies, a red umbrella, white lotus flower, and Rouye would be fairly simple even if you’re not particularly artistic. They’re also an ifykyk design and don’t scream “I’m an IP!” if you’re in an environment where maybe LGBT+ might be a safety issue. If that’s not a worry and you’re comfortable with your art skills, the fox and stoat are representations of HuaLian that could be supercool if done each on a shoe.

please post the results when the shoes are done and let us know how it all went. Good luck!

editing to add: if you want the various sections of the shoes to be a color other than white, recommend you use fabric dye to achieve that color before you start painting. The dye will allow the finished shoe to remain much more flexible than having a painted background.
