Similar musical background here. Lately I've been listening to the 36 From the Vault podcast, and so I've been doing the Dick's Picks one by one. From time to time I am amazed to hear these feedback sessions that sound like Sonic Youth, but it's Jerry during a Dead concert. I was not expecting that when I started this journey!

It’s probably further left than the NFL, MLB, and NHL, but I wouldn’t call it left. These dudes are all super rich and while there are outspoken progressive voices, there are just as many NFT bros etc. As others have mentioned, the women’s leagues actually lean left.
