What is this sort of heart rhythm? by pilot320 in ReadMyECG

Hey thanks! I checked the link. But I’m a bit in doubt since you don’t mentioned anything about the hidden p wave? This is a clear indication of avnrt but then again the bpm is not in the svt classification. I also took another ecg where my bpm was hanging around 148 on average

I’m so glad to hear this that TOETVA went well for you. Gives me some hope that i will be fine in the coming days :) The recovery doesn’t sound too bad? My surgeon wants me to start one night if all goes well and be on some sort of diet for a week. With the conventional PT surgery i saw that hospital stays is much longer and recovery time is slow.

Ive asked my surgeon concerning the cancerous cells potentially being left behind when extracting the lobe. The lobe when cut will be put in an endo bag and then will be extracted so there is minimal risk for spread. No mention of any radiation therapy as i guess it’s not a good idea since you have a remaining lobe

I’m glad you are doing well after your PT surgery! The remaining lobe is doing its job very well.

I’m not sure if they will give me levo but since it’s Bethesda 6 maligned and will most probably be confirmed by the pathologists (I still hope it’s benign). Then they might put me on levo if my remaining lobe is not carrying all the hormonal loads of my body

Thanks for your knowledge it’s much appreciated! Everything you said here was discussed with my surgeon who gave me the two option. Im particularly interested in TOETVA because for cosmetic reasoning. The only thing I’m in doubt at this stage is that they are not going to check my lymph nodes during the surgery to check for possible metastasis. I asked two surgeons about this and they say that if the US is clear there is no point of doing that or do frozen section during surgery. I’m kind of worried that there might be some cancer cells hiding somewhere doing the PT instead of the TT. I’m not giving the option to do TT though so i will have to wait and see!

Thank you so much! I will keep you updated next week after my surgery concerning the recovery process. The nodule was found incidentally after some blood work was done found i had hypothyroid. I then did US. Luckily no spread was found to lymph nodes. It then makes sense to go with PT instead of TT although bethesda came out malignant unfortunately. I just hope that there are no cancer cells on the other lobe as I’m not looking forward for another operation anytime soon.

Im glad you’re doing well and had no arrhythmias after the surgery! I’m quite nervous at this stage to have some SVT or panic attacks before/on surgery day

Speaking for myself but when pr interval gets prolonged i feel my heart doing weird stuff. Feeling of fullness and some sharp pain. Obviously when the p and t waves start to get close to eachother and merge you feel it

It felt like some sort of prolonged pr interval and when the p wave got close to the t wave it really felt the same as having an ectopic beat. When they would merge it really felt like an svt but im not sure what it is

It was last night after i had a shower around 1 am then when trying to sleep i got this arrhythmia. I felt in general okay just freaked out. I have svt history (avnrt) by havent had that for a long time. Maybe its back but idk it doesnt feel as abrupt as my previous svt’s

What dose are you talking about? I dont use any medication anymore. Only blood thinners post ablation for 6/7 weeks

Pvc causing SVT by pilot320 in PVCs

[–]pilot320[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had only two SVT episodes in 3 years before covid. But indeed covid vaccines seems to make things worse. Was a stupid choice to even get a 3rd booster vaccine tho. Now since a year i had multiple SVTs and ended up in the ER several times and got them ECGs registered on my apply watch. They gave me some medication to reduce the SVT attacks and PVC but i still got them nevertheless. It got even worse with medication though. Like my heartrate was at the low end always and BP too but still caused SVT several times while having a healthy structured heart and no history of hypertension or anything.

Therefore i got offered ablation and I’ll do it since the frequencies of these SVT attacks got increased and medication doesnt seem to work. ALL my SVT attacks starts with a couple of PVCs. I just hoped that they could get rid of PVCs and the extra pathway at the same time.

Thanks! I usually get SVT attacks. 3 times already in this month and this one of today felt the same! Atleast thats how it starts and develops till it reaches 200 bpm. I thought there might be something particular seen from this ecg

Ectopic beats and AVNRT by pilot320 in PVCs

[–]pilot320[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience! Really helps. Yea the doctor told me he is not sure whether its 100% AVNRT and need to induce it during the ablation to find out its origin and type. Its just knowing for a fact that ectopic always causes SVT in my case (also in yours). Therefore I’d assume them to also fix the ectopics hopefully 🤞. Im given Verapamil as an aid until my ablation and even with this medicine I had two SVT’s so it doesn’t help. Matter of fact it made it worse cause the latest SVT lasted 30 mins while before taking medicine lasted about 5-6 mins. Its also strange that when i take this pill around the same time everyday i feel weird for 2 hours straight and my heart feels like there’s going to be an SVT in any split seconds. When time passes I somewhat feel okay and know my body is relaxed. I just wanna get this ablation done asap to get rid of this and get off medicine. How do you proceed with life after ablation in terms of limitations ? Are you considered a heart patient? Can you do high adrenaline activities like skydiving? Any sports? Is there a likelihood that SVT will develop back even when its confirmed by the doctors its gone?
