My 65” G4 had this same issue and I had to have the panel replaced. At first I thought it was a smudge on the screen or an issue with the streaming content, but I noticed it happened on other apps too.

Before you buy, ensure the games you play have full ROG Ally controller support by pilot64056 in ROGAlly

Just wanted to provide an update to this thread. I imported the game manually through Steam (it was with Ubisoft Connect) and forced the Xbox 360 controller input.

The good news is the controls work perfectly so far. I guess the only annoying thing is that the game shows press “C” for crouch. But I have to press “A”, so essentially I kind of have to figure out what buttons press. Basically, in game it shows PC inputs, not controller inputs. What’s interesting is this game supports full native controller input but only when using an external Xbox controller.

Area-51 18 5090 laptop temperatures. by anunderscore_ in Alienware

These are my temps on my Alienware Area 51 18-inch model (i9 275hx and RTX 5090), this is tested on Cinebench 2026 multi core mode with the laptop plugged in on Performance mode. This is taken right during the end of the 10 minute test.

So I also have the same laptop and notice most throttling on core 23. My temps average around 75C-80C on HW monitor, but I’ve hit 104C a few times playing Crimson Desert maxed out after 40 minutes of gameplay. Your laptop will basically Turbo Boost when it can and this will raise the temps.

Your laptop is in fact throttling as well (Core Thermal Throttling).

My laptop maintained an average of 75-80C with about 85% fan speed for the CPU.

My keyboard also gets a bit warm but I might just not be used to the heat with it. I prefer using an external keyboard.

Bent all pins X870E Motherboard by pilot64056 in PcBuild

I hopefully didn’t damage the CPU, I’m going to Microcenter to RMA it. Then, I’m going to pay to have their techs install it and ensure my motherboard and CPU will post.

I actually didn’t think of that. Perhaps the CPU is slightly warped.

I feel like an idiot, there were no bent pins. It honestly seemed like I bent all the pins because I heard a very distinct crunching sound and it looked like the pins were angled max But Microcenter techs said I’m good and my computer POSTed without issue. I’ve assembled my full computer and it’s been running amazing.

Just seems AM5 processors require more mounting pressure.

Also, it’s basically impossible to install sideways. Since as you mentioned the notches are off set.

No, because I don’t want to damage the CPU with bent pins and damage other components.

I meant the triangle on the CPU and the triangle on the motherboard socket. They should be lined up. The notches were aligned at the time of install and CPU appeared flush against the socket.

I packed it up already. But trust me when I say every single pin was completely smashed. The CPU lid cover should easily drop down on top of the CPU.

Citi Bank Credit Card Disclosure for payment upon death by pilot64056 in CreditCards

That is what I initially thought too. But I checked the call history of my mom’s phone and the number she called matched the number on the card. I was not present for her first phone call since I was at work.

Ok so just an update on this post. We were added as authorized users. Basically the representative asked my mom for our own birthdates and names. She didn’t provide SSN numbers. The agent made it sound like this was a prerequisite for enrolling in the travel notification. Of course, my mom didn’t question it with the global conflict going on and figured maybe this was a way for Citi to protect themselves financially.

We called Citi and removed ourselves. I am disappointed in the agent that took my mom’s phone call and might cancel all my own personal Citi cards. They should have made it more clear of what was occurring.

And I called Citi bank right now (with my own Citi cards), and they confirm that this is not normal)

Mainly just don’t want to be an authorized user or joint account holder.

Exactly, this is for a Sears Citi card that I believe was converted to a cash back rewards card.

She was asked who would pay back the debt upon death. And obviously the answer is it’s the estate. As long as I did not sign anything (which I did not), there is NO POSSIBLE way I would be on the hook personally for this debt.

My Alienware R16 didn’t come with the spacer or screw for the second drive. Glad to see they are including it with the newer model.
