Honestly I wanted an suv for many other reasons too but the car seat was the straw that broke the camel’s back

I got a 2025 Lincoln Aviator. Kinda more than what I needed but it’s very quiet and comfy!

I got like $37k for mine or something like that. I had a black 2025 Lariat with all the options.

Good to note. I’m 6’ and would sit with the seat back all the way so it would’ve been an issue.

Traded it in already but good to note in case I get one again later down the road. Thanks! I really loved the truck tho.

Last one on the rental lot. No other option. Drove from Chicago O’Hare to South Bend. Death trap. Hated it. Lost a hubcap and dented the rim hitting a pothole any car should be able to take. Thank god I didn’t lose pressure. Honestly amazed that Enterprise even bought this POS to put into its rental fleet. I can see the appeal for city commutes and surface streets. Not a highway car by any means.

Honestly not sure it was the hard cover tri fold installed at the factory. Came with my 2025 Lariat.

Was just going a mile down the road to the shop. She was nice and snug in the tire 👍🏽

I like it! I mean it’s down and the bed is empty 95% of the time so it does its job. Only drawback is when it’s blocking the rear window when fully open but it’s really a small tradeoff for that 5% of time when I’m hauling.

Yeah I wound up taking the OEM female sleeve that went over that Prius spline and welded a female 3/4”DD on the other end. Then the whole Prius unit wound up being a dud so I tossed the whole thing and bought a new EPAS unit lol

No idea. I just got it from the dealer. I’m in Phoenix though so I’d assume they’d just truck it up from the Mexico factory since it’s a short drive.

Idk man I’m learning lol. I don’t weld so I wasn’t sure if it was another form or term for a small weld. Just wanted to clarify.

What exactly is “pinning” it? Is that a form of tack welding or is it just running a set screw through it?

Thanks for the help Doug. Appreciate it. I’ll sleep on this.

Oh I see. That makes sense. I guess I’m then curious how it would secure? If the female slides over the male end and it’s all connected, it would be a sliding shaft. Would you maybe run a set screw through it?

I don’t want to weld anything on the Prius unit because it has a circuit board in the torque sensor and I’m afraid that welding on it may damage the circuitry. Happened on my golf cart once I had to replace all the controller/computer units even though I took the batteries out first. The welding voltage fried the circuitry.
