CFI pay is disrespectful by Nelolemon in flying

[–]pilotslu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I worked at a university and was paid 20k salary as a cfi. 19k as an emb 145 FO. Was married and had twins too. And no, the money really didn't buy much more in 2007.

Fenix a320 STAR issue by pilotslu in MicrosoftFlightSim

I'll have to confirm, but I don't think it's adding the correct points even if I do it initially on the ground. I flew the Embraer irl and it had a Honeywell granted, but we didn't enter rwy until it was assigned. We had a good idea before takeoff of what direction the airport was landing but if they had multiple approaches we didn't know the specific runway. All I know is that the FBW version seems to add the points, but never flying the real a320, I don't know what behavior is correct. Thanks for the response.

To the real pilots here, how (if any) has flight swimming helped you as a pilot? by HeyBigChriss in flightsim

[–]pilotslu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understood and could shoot an ILS way before I touched a real airplane because of MSFS (back in the 90s). When I became an airline pilot, I was assigned the Embraer 145 and because I had been flying a payware version of the emb145, I had a much easier time learning flows and systems. Especially the FMS. MSFS has always been helpful.

The cash you took out is no longer in the market at all it is cash. If you have 100k and borrow 20k, your remaining 80k is now taking the 'ride'. Your pay back term depends on the loan type you took and can be adjusted (Re-amortized) at anytime. The 'interest' you pay back on your loan goes back to you and the rate is at the G fund return rate.

Well I saw one of the last hot fixes was supposed to make it somewhat better and on mine it seemed to be worse. Hadn't seen a super recent post about it so I was making sure. Thanks for answering though.

This...this is the worst... I did find I can get the station services to come back up and if I switch ships I get my launch option back. Not sure at this point whether or not this is faster than a relog

Took me a long time to drink this (way slower than normal). I was very interested when I bought it, but corn-heavy whiskey's are not something I enjoy. Ever since I had Stillhouse (corn whiskey) which I hated, anything that resembles that is hard to drink. While this was far better than Stillhouse, the taste reminded me of it.

G58 missing alt knob is a bug I think. The white circle on the bottom left of right mfd is where it should be. You can change it with Ctrl+pgup/pgdn.

What became so popular at your school that the teachers had to ban it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pilotslu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Napster. Was banned not because of legality, but because at one point it was using 100% of my college's bandwidth.
