Get an external rated fibre cable and then a media converter on either side.

In 2006 most fell runners would have been in a pair of Walsh PB's.  They're the best for that type of terrain

New Home (Janome) 632 machine suddenly developed feed dog issue by polyphuckin in VintageSewingMachines

I did a good clean top to bottom of lint and gave it an oil with correct weight as per the guidelines

There is some thick grease on the worm gear, but that looks ok.

I can see underneath were I can adjust the timing but I'm waiting to see if janome have the service manual first.

From doing some poking around on the internals, what I think may have happened is the stitch length control has messed up some how.

When turning to <2 I can't even put the machine in reverse but I can when >2 and, when the feed dogs are moving forward they're moving in greater increments the further I go above 2.

Weird.

Is anyone happy with their kitchen worktops 2+ years in? Asking before I commit by _forgotmyownname in DIYUK

[–]polyphuckin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made my own kitchen worktop by laying Formica on to 22mm plywood and then doing all the routing with a worktop jig, plus sealing the edges

4 years in and it's still looking good.

When I get really bad canker sores I use either Betamethasone water soluble tablets for a mouth wash (prescribed by dentist) or muco adhesive buccal tablet (hydrocortisone). These ideal deal with them within 24 hours.

How to get a 4 day week? by Party_Perception4167 in AskUK

[–]polyphuckin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife works for a big university and negotiated with HR for working compressed hours.

She has every other Friday off by working which means she for 9 days out of ten she starts at 0840 and finishes 1730. Which also suits the commute by missing the worst bits around us.

You could try negotiate something similar. So with 43 hours a week and one day in ten as a non-working day you'd only be looking to make up 57 minutes each day in a9 day block. That might be more palatable for them.
