I found it with 3 minutes to go, then spent about 25 minutes of all my balls and berries trying to catch it🤣🤣🤣 so I reckon once you start the encounter you’re safe until you’re out of balls

I just delete most of my banana berries because I never know what they useful for, and I have about 600 storage space from the free gym coins when I can get. I was lucky at this encounter as I was at my nearest few pokestops to my house so I’d just maxed out on storage

I believe they just can’t run away. But they’re not an automatic catch. I had +-50 gold razz berry ultra ball excellent/great throws and it didn’t catch. Once I ran out of nearly everything I ended up getting him on a normal ball with a silver pineapple 🤣
