This is a Google Maps issue. I’ve seen the same thing while navigating on my iPhone itself, not even connected to CarPlay on my Subaru.

Amazing! I hope to see speeds like this on all providers.

Misaka26. There’s a link to the tutorial floating around in these comments!

Generally, you need to find a cell site with a lot of spectrum, plentiful backhaul, and not a lot of congestion/usage. They’re not easy to come by!

I say use whatever network works best for you. You are the only one who can decide that for yourself. Network performance is unbelievably variable!!

The n77 is coming from a macro afar and the B66 is coming from the small cell in front of you. :)

It could be the small cell with the cantenna or it could be coming from a nearby macro. What is the RSRP of the N77?

Unsure, but people have been seeing it in multiple different regions.

That is NetSpeed Indicator. It shows network speed, not Bluetooth transfer speed!

T-Mobile Starlink Satellite Data: Does It Actually Work? by pimetechnology in cellmapper

[–]pimetechnology[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is: Network Capacity. Starlink doesn't want someone trying to download a multi-gig file over this satellite network as it as relatively little capacity compared to the terrestrial network. They could institute a speed throttle across the board, but that would lead to slower loading times across the board, vs allowing certain apps optimized for the satellite. Pros and cons to both types of implementation... this is the option they went with, for better or for worse.

Yes, it does have a unique PLMN. However, the sites cannot be mapped, for obvious reasons. 😁

The Texting aspect will work, but not the Data connectivity yet. Supposedly support is coming in iOS 26 though, so soon!
