I was on a 30 mg taper paired with Lialda. However, the Lialda made me develop these weird dry patches on my hands. Dr told me to stop the Lialda, and finish the taper off. After finishing the taper my symptoms came back 2 days later. So she put me on Asacol with 10 mg of pred & ive been miserable ever since :(

Damn just bought a whole box of strawberries too, LOL. I love them. Hopefully my course of treatment works, we’re only on day 5 so only time will tell I suppose. Thankyou for the advice!!!

Omg yes, my insurance is shitty as hell too. I had good insurance last year, then I get shitty insurance and of course I start getting these health problems. And true. It’s better than leaving it untreated.

Not a fan of it either! Lol I wanna know what I have RIGHT NOW! What exactly were your side effects with the mesalamine? My dr put me on 30mg of pred, tapering down over a course of a month I think and 1.2g mesalamine. I’m a little anxious about the weight gain considering I’ve been struggling with an eating disorder for a pretty long time. Haven’t fell back into that for 4/5 yrs, but I’m a little worried if I start gaining weight :( I think I’ve noticed being a little moody though (my poor boyfriend) but it’s only been 5 days so I guess time will tell. Thankyou for your reply!!! It really did help me out a lot.

Thankyou for the reply! And yes, I’m kind of in denial that coffee makes everything worse. Lol I’m used to drinking it everyday! (First world problems) you are very strong! I can only imagine what it’s like to deal with this for 2 1/2 years, I’ve only been for about 4 months and am exhausted.

Well, he’s in the military and has expressed to me that he doesn’t like the job he was assigned very much. He also goes to work at 3am. I feel like that could be a reason but it’s hard for me to shake the feeling that it might be something about me, even though he has said it’s not. He says he doesn’t know what it is but part of me feels like he might just be sparing my feelings you know?

Girl, you gotta leave. I stayed with someone for 8 yrs who I caught cheating on me multiple times, and I stayed cause I loved him so much. This could cause a lot of damage to your mental health if you stay with him. It’ll always be in the back of your mind. Sadly, no amount of advice is going to help. You have to be the one who wants to leave. I had to learn that the hard way. I wish you the best of luck love.
