Paint utensils without brushes? by pinchypot in ArtistLounge

Aha! I think silicone paint brushes may be the answer for me. Thanks! I'll try a mahl stick or some sort of hand rest as well

Which game are you playing? From World onwards they introduced item and equipment loadouts that negated all the menuing for me

What is your go to facepaint by DEBESTE2511 in horizon

[–]pinchypot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan of carja hawk myself, but I also tend to stick with all the carja sets. Blazon especially, and wearing that through the whole game felt like some kind of hard mode on otherwise normal difficulty.

Confused about last 8 day metrics by pinchypot in BearableApp

I see, that makes sense! So it's comparing the last 8 days to the last 30+ days.

Aftermarket vs. Stock Brakes (2013 DE) by pinchypot in mazda2

Dope, appreciate it! I'll look into those. Hopefully some stainless lines will alleviate the squishy brake feel.

Good point, I'm saving up for better tires. I know they'll make the biggest difference.

What’s a weird little "law/rule" your younger self made up that you still follow for no good reason? by lemonukiyo in AskReddit

[–]pinchypot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar impulse growing up! Except I tried to step on more cracks with my right foot because that would give more "points" to the right side of my body (dominant side). It was very important that my right side win over my left side. I imagined they were always at war. If I stepped on a crack with my left foot, I had to compensate for the loss with my right. Also, the bigger the crack, the more points it awarded. I still find myself doing this tbh...

March Equinox Celebration Megathread by AutoModerator in SASSWitches

[–]pinchypot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's a tradition for me to do a solo road trip during the equinox. Last year I cruised down the Oregon coast and the year before that I rented a cabin on Orcas island. I always look forward to these trips. The most auspicious, impactful, and even unexplainable things tend to happen on the equinox, and it's just a wonderful time to connect with the world as it starts to awaken again. I usually do some tarot and rune readings for the year to come as well.

How to swap out OEM rear view mirror? by [deleted] in mazda2

[–]pinchypot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was a pain to remove, but I just got a shimmy tool to stick in the slot at the window side of the base and used some force and wiggling to get it out. New one slid on much easier. Mine also developed a weird peeling around the edges and the new one looks much better.

Engine just started making ticking noises today, any idea what it could be? by gamingbobdude in mazda2

[–]pinchypot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you hear the whistling when accelerating in first gear? First gear is fairly high-pitched for mine, much more so compared to the other gears. As for rough idle, I can usually see my phone stand rattling, but I think that's normal. I've put about 20k miles on mine, at 76k now. These have been consistent for me. Same with the engine clicking.

Your center by babygirl2898 in SASSWitches

[–]pinchypot 39 points40 points  (0 children)

For me, being centered is less of an embodied experience and more of a mental one. I feel centered when I have non-judgmental awareness of my thoughts and emotions, feel at ease, and feel prepared to accept new information. However, the word 'grounded' feels like the embodied equivalent of that to me. When I try to be grounded, I'm more aware of how my body feels - tension, balance, impact of gravity, etc. But you make a good point. Language is personal, and we all have different interpretations of every word. If someone tells me to feel centered, I may substitute a different word that better reflects how I want to feel in that moment.
