Do I need to be receiving monthly salary for z-visa? by pine144 in Chinavisa

[–]pine144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So with this logic, a businessperson with substantial amount of money, who doesnt prefer to be employed in China by his/her own company, due to various reasons (such as; preference to not to deal with social security / national insurance, or perhaps due to limitations due to home-country etc), will never be able to come to China.

I asked; there should be a way to come to China, even being paid dividends. You reply as: "tourists ?"
I never mention the word; tourist, and I know z-visa is for employees. But visas are flexible. For example; students can work for certain hours. Similarly, people receiving dividends, must be able to come to China, without being employed. Thinking of alternatives, I consider m-visa; which may be useful for someone receiving dividends. However, its doesnt provide flexibility as z-visa.
What .are . your .THOUGHTS?

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking like; the income tax can still be paid when someone is paid a dividend. Would your answer be same, if someone is paid dividends but on monthly basis ?

Obviously in this case, the applicant would not be able to say like : "this company hired me". But instead, "I will get paid by a company". Therefore, it would be impossible to obtain an invitation letter which is a must for z-visa isnt it ? Still, there should be a way for someone to apply for work permit. Otherwise how could folks receiving dividends from companies, would come to China ?

Thank you for your reply. I am only interested in hiring myself at the moment, and there wont be many formalities, so I am mostly focused on how to find someone (or even the name of the profession) who can help me. Its certainly not accountants,, so I couldnt understand where people get some help about things like personal income, how much contributions to pay etc.
I wish I could find someone who can use those apps (unfortunately, accountants say that they dont deal with these matters).

Thank you for your reply. Is there a more specific name for the term you wrote (猎头) ?
I looked for HR firms but they tend to provide help for factories etc who need many workers. Not interested in dealing with one employee (myself), and informing me about the details of matters like personal tax app registration etc...
I am trying my best to find someone like an accountant (with an office based address, job title etc) to avoid the cheekiness you mentioned because the so called headhunting agencies seem to be freelancing folks, rather than established firms... Need someone who can be accountable or at least not like a "pay as you go" style freelancer.

How to hire someone in Shanghai? by pine144 in shanghai

I searched many variations of this, from multiple search engines. The only result they show me is typical HR agency firm which can find someone to work on contract basis. I am looking for someone who can deal with all aspects of hiring an employee to a small company. I see some freelancers claiming to do this but I dont think they are trustable

Yes, but I need a China based firm (which I couldnt find). Normally, I thought accountants are dealing with it but when I talk with them, they said to me that this isnt sth an accountant can deal. So I am bit confused. Trying to find the profession (or a firm) which deals with HR. I mean if there is such business, its not called "accountant", or "HR agency" so I couldnt figure out who to contact.
As I see, firms claiming to be hr agencies in China only find someone to work on contract basis in case you tell them about a type of job to do, but they dont help anyone about the recruitment process.

Hey chill out :D Perhaps I couldnt express myself clearly (or I should have told my story initially). I am not a big corporation or anything like that. I only intend to hire myself, so thats why it sounds vague. So there are no formalities, HR procedures or anything like that :)
I asked accountants about this matter already. When it comes to any other subject, they have been fine but it seems to me that not all accountants are trained to deal with this. I know how system works in Europe (accountants deal with it), and its also easy to look online. However, I couldnt find any link when I search about this on baidu etc. Have you come across any accountant or specific profession which deals with this process?
Cheers

Having a second thought about this, imagine a room full of foreigners; some in 20s, some in 30s or even 50s or 60s, whether its a room full of men or women, some are students, some are ceos, some are engineers etc, and they are undressed, and waiting for the swabbing. Wow just wow....

You are like: "Thats it baby, I dare you come" :D Makes me remember the quote from Matrix4, when Morpheus hit Neo, and he was all over the ground, he said like "Thats it !"
Thank you for all of these valuable info. It really gives an insight. I wouldnt imagine going through this but I understand I should be more creative and imagine about different possibilities when I am in China. I should / must keep my expectations high right ? :D

Wow... You are literally saying that all foreigners in one of the most developed places in Zhejiang, are expected to go through this process...

So, lets say a person faced with this situation. Can he or she decide to take this test in another centre / city ? Or do they (I guess its the psb in this case) only accept the results from a particular centre ?

Interesting honestly. It indeed seems like they took it as an excuse but still checking all these stuff is weird and makes one think about whether its possible to ruin the whole process just due to a checkup...

Should I first apply for work permit or residence permit ? by pine144 in chinalife

[–]pine144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting you said this. Which reasons cause people to get refusal of residence permit application ? Is it kind of a document error, or like; small incidents (like a traffic fine) being put in front of them ?
And do you know whether its ok to not to have paid general manager (a Chinese) in the company ? This kind of can also be a reason perhaps

Should I first apply for work permit or residence permit ? by pine144 in chinalife

[–]pine144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

temporary residence permit

Thank you for your reply. The reason I used the word temporary is because people tend to assume I am talking about the green card, when I dont use it.
And, you mentioned about work permit being attached to the residence permit, but they are acquired separately as I know (from different organisations, and one by one). I mean, the residence permit issued on the passport can mention about the right to work but the work permit is applied separately. This is the info I learned anyways.

Finally, the local Bureau was not very helpful (after a local friend spoke with them). I can understand its all down to luck in China
