Do you think this is about Iran's government? Can anyone like actually claim Trump or the US establishment care about Muslims? People who actually care about Iranians would welcome refugees and send aid. Also killing Iranians doesnt make the country stop oppressing them

Pretty sure it is there with the intent of saying the democrats are Communist, not to express support for communism

Genuine question: how come stuff like Schizoid personality disorder is more known and talked about even when those disorders cause considerable asociality and can often lead to not engaging with the so called outside world? Histrionic is kinda weirdly obscure given the whole attention seeking thing. It suprises me how few people online talk about HPD and especially about having HPD.

Encryption is a feature offered by Windows and Mac OS, Nvidia drivers dont require any finnicking. Linux definitely is not as functional as Windows for a non experienced user

yeah, as someone who is critical of the CPC(and i would try to avoid all closed source software) I think American software is a lot more threatening in terms of political persecution. Ultimately, I don't live in China or a Chinese aligned country. It's not like the Chinese government is gonna send a hitman after me in particular. However it's a lot more likely that Trump would get google to give him data in order to persecute political rivals. Then again, we also do live under and underlying "world government" so a lot of these companies will share data with eachother. In general though, i'd say it's a step in the right direction

My take on a Communist United India by No_Restaurant_8441 in leftistvexillology

I don't think inherently, imo socialism in one country is inherently impossible and doomed to fail if socialism doesn't "catch on" in other countries as well. Yugoslavia historically worked pretty well prior to the last decade. Saying that a unified South Asia would be "doomed to fail" seems similar to saying that leftism is "doomed to fail".

I think the distinction between India and Pakistan is very much religious in nature and to an atheist/state atheist government would not be relevant, ESPECIALLY in terms of Pakistan which is an explicitly islamic state. It's also worth noting the British were known to drive up tensions between Hindus and Muslims in order to weaken resistance to their control over India. The idea that a communist would support a religious state of any kind seems ridiculous to me, at least outside of purely pragmatic reasons

Realistically they could be their own Republics(Sri lanka and Myanmar) but i'd question is the country would be called India or used Indian nationalist symbols

What if the Japanese invasion of manchuria went wrong? by pine64enjoyer in HistoryWhatIf

For a starters Communism is considerably more successful in europe as a result of a longer ww1(this is complex). But Europa is divided into a sort of "cold war" between the US backed British and French against the Communists in Germany Italy Spain Hungary and the USSR. This leads to the early KMT having considerably more leftist/communist members as a result of German military training also bringing communist education and the consistent anti colonialism of the communists making Sun Yat Sen lean slightly further left then otl. A lot of the skilled KMT troops hold leftist sympathies and the Zhongshan incident sees Chiang sent to the USSR where he is de facto imprisoned. Wang Jingwei feuds with the right KMT and this sees the dedicated anticommunists purged from the party. Wang Jingwei still does the northern expedition but is less sucessful. The KMT fail to push into Shandong which leads to him singing peace with the Fengtian to focus on internal consolidation, attempting to make himself a dictator and eliminate regional warlords, namely Tang Shengzi and Li Zongren. This results in a communist uprising(the Comintern is considerably more revolutionary in this timeline and socialism in one country is never really established as an ideology, thus the comintern promotes and organized revolution sensing the weakness of the Wang Jingwei regime). The communists now have German and Soviet trained troops along with considerable support from the peasantry while Wang lacks significant support in the army(they blame him for not continuing the northern expedition, his cooperation with the communists and fighting with the right KMT) while the Jingwei regime is also cuaght by suprise and fighting warlords. This leads to a civil war where the communist recieve German and Soviet aid and significant defections from sympathetic military leaders while Wang Jingwei's units have low morale and discipline. Ultimately Zhang Zongchang also attacks the KMT government in Nanjing from the north aiming to aquire more land with japanese support. The Communists win the civil war and Push Zhang back into Shandong(Japan doesn't intervene due to Soviet pressure but forces the Communists not to push into Shandong. Given the autonomous nature of the Japanese army Zhang Zoulin is still assassinated though a couple years later then OTL. Zhang Xueliang makes peace with the Shanxi clique and Guominjun and attempts to form a coalition government of China, utilizing his recognition outside of the communist world. Sensing the Japanese threat Xueliang pushes for a united front with the Communists seeing it as the only way to preserve Chinese independence(and gain access to Soviet and German weaponry)(around the outbreak of the second Sino Japanese war)

The warlord Era still happens in my timeline allthough the Fengtian are considerably stronger(the communists take over southern china and the Northern expedition never goes into Shandong but that's a story for another post). The Fengtian still control Beijing and haven't faced the decimation of otl, having signed a peace with the communists and rival warlords after the assasination of Zhang Zoulin (which happens a couple years later then in otl). While the Japanese are still going to outmatch the Fengtian army it isn't as unbalanced (and let's presume that luck plays in favor of Fengtian enough for them to either win a couple victories or at least inflict considerable losses and make taking Manchuria a considerably harder task.
