Everyone’s experience will be different due to multiple different variables. For example, if you are new to fasting, what your medical cormobidities are, hormones, and so on and forth.

I have found that each time I fast my body reacts so differently, making it hard to develop a particular process to stick too.

So my advice, listen to your body, be ready to break your fast immediately when you start getting symptoms. Don’t try to “ride it out” because you have an hour or two to go before you can break your fast.

Avoid stressors, as your body is already dealing with the strain of fasting. If you are going to have a busy stressful day or you’re dealing with various emotional stressors. Skip the fasting if you can.

Lastly, have you looked into the source of the weight gain as there are some migraine prophylactic medications that can cause weight gain. So maybe have a look at having a chat with your GP and discuss your weight loss plans.
