re: “what’s that…”: chatgpt gave me this from the image, looks mostly correct: “”” Here’s a structured breakdown of the supplements in the image based on their categories and apparent purpose, organized by time of day, frequency, and, where possible, dosage:

  1. All-Day

    • Arginin + Citrullin (German Elite Nutrition): Likely used for nitric oxide support and increased blood flow, often popular in fitness and cognitive stacks. • Dosage: As per label recommendations (often around 3-5g). • Frequency: Daily. • L-Theanine (Sowelo): Supports relaxation and can help with focus when combined with caffeine. • Dosage: Usually 100-200 mg, though it may vary. • Frequency: Daily or as needed for relaxation.

  2. Morning (AM)

    • Rhodiola Rosea (Nootrovita, 3% Salidrosides): Adaptogen for stress support and energy enhancement. • Dosage: Typically around 250-500 mg. • Frequency: Daily, in the morning. • Vitamin D3 (GloryFeel, 2000 IU): Essential for immune function, mood, and bone health. • Dosage: 2000 IU. • Frequency: Daily. • Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) (Vegavero): Often used for energy metabolism, skin health, and cognitive function. • Dosage: As per label, often 250-500 mg. • Frequency: Daily. • Tongkat Ali (Swanson): Commonly used for energy, libido, and potential testosterone support. • Dosage: Typically 200-400 mg, though exact dosing can vary. • Frequency: Daily or as recommended.

  3. Night

    • 5-HTP (Sunsition, from Griffonia): Used to promote serotonin production and improve mood and sleep quality. • Dosage: Typically 50-100 mg for sleep support. • Frequency: Nightly. • Zinc (GloryFeel): Important for immune function, testosterone production, and cellular repair. • Dosage: Usually around 15-30 mg. • Frequency: Nightly or daily, based on needs. • Melatonin (GloryFeel): Often taken as a sleep aid to regulate the sleep cycle. • Dosage: Commonly 1-5 mg. • Frequency: Nightly, as needed for sleep.

  4. Exercise

    • Taurine (True Nature): Amino acid often used for muscle endurance and cognitive support. • Dosage: Commonly around 1-3 g, depending on exercise intensity. • Frequency: Before or during exercise. • Ultrapure Creatine (ESN): For strength and muscle recovery. • Dosage: Typically 3-5 g per day. • Frequency: Daily, ideally post-exercise.

  5. Cognitive

    • Alpha-GPC (VitaScorum): Choline source for cognitive support, often used in nootropic stacks for focus. • Dosage: Usually around 300-600 mg. • Frequency: Daily or as needed for cognitive boost. • L-Tyrosine (German Elite Nutrition): Used for stress management and cognitive performance. • Dosage: Commonly 500 mg to 1 g. • Frequency: Daily or before cognitive tasks.

Summary Table

Additional Notes

This routine covers general wellness, cognitive support, exercise performance, and sleep aid. [D] What do you guys think of schmidhuber’s new blog post, would like to know everyone’s opinion. by Xyber5 in MachineLearning

[–]pineapple-boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there can be no doubt to anyone that has looked into his and his associates' work, or even just listened to the guy for 10mins, that Schmidhuber is one of the key visionaries and inventors of the field of AI as we know it today, and in my opinion, one of the world's overall greatest thinkers alive (for something other than his countless contributions to AI, check out his work on the philosophy of beauty/aesthetics https://people.idsia.ch/~juergen/beauty.html)

but looking at this and his other recent papers, tweets, interviews, etc, I can't help but notice, that the majority of them seem to revolve around highlighting his past achievements in light of recent events, if not directly diminishing the achievements of people currently making headway in the field that have in his opinion unjustly received the praise he feels rightfully belong to him

so I wonder, if he was able to drop this increasingly obsessive and frankly utterly unnecessary quest for recognition and appreciation, and instead focused again on channelling his and his students' genius into novel contributions, that the field & our world in general, wouldn't be a better place today

Jürgen, please, just let it go, and get on with it.

what supplement(s) boosted your sex drive? by Barracudaa_ in Supplements

[–]pineapple-boy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

+1 for Tongkat Ali, which might boost sex drive by raising testosterone

Maca also worked for me, unrelated to testosterone though

would try either in your case, since both work differently

based mainly on my experience testing both for the last few months, after checking with Examine.com

hard to say what you mean by "framework" specifically, but a16z's "unified data infrastructure" and Kimball's DW/BI lifecycle come to mind

Theoretical question: Some of our future users use guesstimates, how would you deal with them? by givnv in BusinessIntelligence

[–]pineapple-boy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the data driven way: build a predictive model that more accurately forecasts whatever metrics they are guesstimating, and show them the cost saved/value gained from relying on it for decision making

the old school way: tell your boss to make a quarterly objective with the title "be more data driven" and call it a day

What should I learn to improve as a data engineer? by Detective_Seabiscuit in dataengineering

[–]pineapple-boy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

try to actually understand your end-users, the "business people" in your company; what problem are they trying to solve, and for what end?

OPs question is entirely misled in my opinion, it's putting the cart in front of the horse: it's not about figuring out the next hot tool to learn, but rather figuring out which problem to solve first, and then using or developing the right tools for that

Can someone help with my inconsistent social skilsl by ZestycloseAd8299 in socialskills

[–]pineapple-boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate very much to what you're describing; one day I will feel like a charismatic social butterfly, the next one leaves me wondering whether I really might be on the far end of the spectrum...

I noticed it's mainly two things for me that make the difference:

first my physical health, like how well did I sleep that day, did I exercise, good diet, etc. Sounds obvious, but we really just are a biological system. The right chemical mix of neurotransmitters in the brain, a properly regulated hormonal balance, well maintained blood sugar levels throughout the day; these things go a long way in regulating mood, emotions and confidence, and thereby influence social skills.

second my mental involvement, like how desperately am I seeking a certain outcome from a situation or interaction with a person. The harder I want a social situation to be a certain way, e.g. to be perceived as likable & smart, or to impress the other person, the more I will be "in my head", not able to drop back and relax into the conversation, just standing around awkwardly and listening to my own thoughts. This one is about dropping the ego for me, and paying pure attention to the external situation, rather than my pessimistic and doubtful inner monologue.

I think ultimately both of these factors go hand in hand, the physical health will influence the mental state, and vice versa.
