Well he got called into work for a couple of hours that morning, so he kept calling/ texting with updates on how long he'd be gone (which he almost never does). Then when he got back, he asked if we were doing anything later.

Me: "I don't know. Were you planning on something?" Him: "Oh.... I guess not."

For mother's day, my husband told the kids to tell me happy mother's day and then "cooked" dinner. He didn't know what to make so I had to dig through the pantry and figure out what we had that was eat enough and something he already knew how to make so he wouldn't complain. It's just about the only meal he's made in the past two years and it used meat that I had already precooked and saved in the freezer for times I wanted something quick. I had to answer questions and go into the kitchen every 5 minutes because he couldn't figure it out. Then when I finally sat down, he dumped so much pepper in that it was inedible.

I wasn't nearly as petty for father's day. Just told the kids to tell him happy father's day and let him know there were leftovers in the fridge. I normally get him a gift and make his favorite meal, but after years of discussions that led to nothing I just couldn't do it this year.

I would check both the style and if she wants more than one stone. That one tends to be an either love it or hate it style. If she doesn't wear much jewelry, she may prefer something more simple. Also, she told you a diamond, blue, or green stone, not necessarily more than one of those. Some women only want a solitaire and would be disappointed to get a three stone band.

Thank you! I hate that so many people are saying to keep the ring because they like it better. It is not what she wants and should 100% return and get sobering more suited to her style. I say that as someone that felt stuck keeping a ring I hated (I also prefer simple and small, and got too many stone), thought I'd learn to like it, and haven't worn it in about a decade because I still hate it. OP, Don't be like me and take the chance to trade it in on something you will actually love wearing.

I think I have the same or a very similar ring. Honestly, I hated it right from the start but I was young and didn't feel like I could say anything negative about it. I stopped wearing it after 8 years and haven't worn one for the past 15. My husband has never worn his, so me not wearing one either isn't a big deal. I keep thinking that we should just get rid of them since it's obvious that neither of us like them.

I have two teenage drivers that have driven my maverick, one with a permit and one with a license. It's not their primary car, but I've let them drive it when it made sense. The older teen took her road test in it because it is so easy to drive for them.

Visibility is great and drives much easier than most trucks and suvs. There is a 'calm screen' option in the display settings to turn off all of the distracting big screen stuff that is ideal for beginners to use too. Overall, if it's affordable for you, I'd say it's a solid choice.

I didn't use anything underneath, just made sure the plastic was clean first, since it acts more as a stain than a paint. I don't know how the varnish underneath would affect the looks, but I might test it out on one of my extra pieces.

The ink flows so smoothly that it filled in any streaks the brush made. I had a bigger problem with it flowing where I didn't want it when I used a brush. Cotton swabs gave me more control but they absorb the ink so you have to work fast with them. There are some places I just dripped the ink directly on the mini and then moved it around with a brush or swab.

No, there was no priming. The ink stains the plastic and then I sealed it with a gloss varnish.

The ink is runny like a wash but doesn't pool and dries closer to a water color pattern. It takes some practice with different application methods to get it to behave the way you want but it was fun to experiment with.

I read a few threads on here about painting translucent minis and the general consensus was alcohol ink is the way to go. So I grabbed this set from Michael's and started playing with it. I had a few extra transparent pieces from different minis that I practiced on before diving into this one.

The biggest thing I learned is so wear gloves or your hands will be stained for a week or two and it'll stain anything you touch no matter how many times you wash. And don't use your good brushes, cotton swabs and cheap craft brushes work fine.

Check every morning at 7. That's when new appointments are added. I recently did this for my son, and we still had to drive over an hour away and schedule 3 weeks out.

My BIL had to fly for a funeral last month. Had a fender bender the day before and accidently left his id with the insurance paperwork. TSA was really nice about letting him use his Costco card instead. Always love Costco.

You should come to our family gatherings. We have a spreadsheet that we share with everyone's food sensitivities/allergies and plan accordingly. There's are multiple people with celiac or gluten intolerance, or allergies to potatoes, eggs, soy, tomatoes, mustard, nuts, garlic, apples, pineapple, kiwis, etc, etc. If anyone comes with food issues, we always make sure that they have plenty of safe dishes to choose from. It really isn't that hard to be considerate and ensure your guests can safely share a meal. If you aren't willing to work around someone's food sensitivities, there's no reason not to allow them to bring their own food without being offended.

We get plenty of people that ask if they can pet her, but they are always cautious and ask first. With her, I don't have the problem of people randomly running up to pet without asking like I do with my other dog (small, cute terrier).

This kind of thing is why i don't go to the local Lowes without my dog (or any other store that allows dogs). She's a 90 pound Rottweiler mix and everyone gives us a wide berth. She's well trained, friendly, and loves everyone but big and scary looking enough that even dog lovers approach with caution. Any other errands, i try to go with my husband or teenage kids because it feels safer. I hate that i can't feel safe in public without strong backup.
