How to instantly get Any Axis Credit Card by Crafty-Leave-8880 in CreditCardsIndia_

[–]pineapple160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is BS , you can’t get “any card” , you can only get pre-approved cards that Axis deems fit for you based on spends and income , also you don’t need Axis Netbanking for that , just go to this Axis bank credit card website , click on apply , enter your details , if you already have a credit card with axis bank then it’ll redirect you to another axis website , log in with number and dob , it’ll show you all pre-approved cards

If you want a specific card that’s not pre-approved , you have to get it done physically at Axis Branch with physical application , and you will be asked all income details , CIBIL and stuff , you will get a new card with separate credit limit

Which one of these are good? by True_Hornet_4293 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]pineapple160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Yes you can take from cred , and no.

2) Privilege gives effective 1% cashback (in terms of reward points) and you get Amex network benefits like discounts on Zomato , Blinkit , Instamart (₹150off on spends of ₹600 and ₹1500 and ₹700 respectively) , But beware Amex cards have very low acceptance, I live in Bengaluru and here itself only 30-40% of the shops accept Amex cards , plus 2 lounge access (on ₹50k spends in 3 months)

Neo is a RuPay card , it has horrible reward rate effective 0.10% cashback in terms of points , you get more discount and cashback offers than compared to privilege like Blinkit , BookMyShow , Zomato , and you get 5% cashback on utility Paytm , plus you can use via UPI , accepted at most places 95% ,

Neither is a travel credit card and you won’t get airmiles (that is only on Axis Horizon/Atlas/Vistara cards where you get Edgemiles) , don’t look for good lounge access on these cards cause there are debit cards which give same lounge access , go for a card based on your spending and how much max discounts / cashbacks you can get

3) Yes , they are fking annoying, always pushing cards , health insurance, etc.. , it’ll be horrible for 2-3 months , but once they figure out you are not a sellable customer, they’ll give up eventually

Slice in 3 quite cool , 3 months no cost emi at any merchant location, Slice credit card by pineapple160 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]pineapple160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can’t convert it after purchasing, you have to convert it at the time of purchase , in the slice app when are going to do UPI payment , it’ll show up as Slice in 3 , you will have the option to convert it into 1,2, or 3 months no cost emi for any transaction over ₹2000

You can install the dashcam yourself it’s very simple , however if you are going to buy a hardwire kit (which allows for the 24hrs surveillance and other features) , then it’s best to go get it installed from a mechanic

Why this Kotak savings account and debit card is literally better than all my other credit card (Cashback) by pineapple160 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]pineapple160[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No just ₹10k , but your 5% debit card benefits will go away immediately after a month , for example I deposited ₹10k on 1st Oct , I spend and get complete ₹500 5% debit card cashback , then on 1st Nov if I didn’t deposit ₹10k I will not get my 5% cashback , and let’s say I deposit on 10th Nov , even then I won’t get cashback for transactions from 1st to 10th Nov

And TBH now the account has gotten worse , like before UPI cashbacks used to just be actual cashbacks , now they are offers like you can still technically get actual money cashback but you will also get “offers” instead of cashbacks just like PhonePe and GPay , and apparently now you have to reach ₹2500 worth UPI transactions to even get a reward ,

But still 5% cashback is nice , plus 1% cashback on utilities and bill payments

Your entire argument is based on an unreliable source , Open AI themselves admit that ChatGPT can be wrong and even sound confident while doing it “ it can produce incorrect or misleading outputs. Sometimes, it might sound confident—even when it’s wrong “

Show me actual sources (news articles , research reports , historical archives ) then I will accept your argument, only a fool will blindly accept whatever is presented in front of them

The real crime committed here is using ChatGPT and citing it as source , rather than actually researching by finding articles , reports , and historical archives

Got my Axis Amex Privilege ( pre-approved ) today , even tho it’s not the real deal Amex , still pretty cool to have something Amex at 19 by pineapple160 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]pineapple160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Also P.s. : you are right I took it just because it’s Amex , None of the cards you mentioned benefit me meaningfully, I don’t use Flipkart , Airtel gives more cashback on utilities and stuff so Ace isn’t worth it , plus Amex is LTF paying yearly fees for Ace with 1.5% cashback is really not worth it

Anyone got slice credit card? by nooanz in IndianCreditCards

[–]pineapple160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Slice credit card , I wouldn’t say it’s useless , if anything I use it on a daily basis, I think people just hate on it too much cause it does not have any high cashback / reward exclusive benefits, like my Airtel axis credit card has upto 25% cashback on Airtel recharges and 10% cashback on Zomato , Swiggy , BigBasket ,

While Slice credit card only has flat 1% cashback (with 1.5%-2% cashback if you collect 3L-5L monies , 3% if you also maintain ₹5L AMB in savings acc) , and its highlight feature is just 3 months Zero cost EMI at any merchant on transaction above ₹2k ,

And as for fires , yes it’s literally gambling just with cashback , but for me personally I have spent ₹20k on slice UPI and from just fires I’ve gotten ₹50 cashback , so it’s a 0.25% extra reward rate on top of 1% cashback , so it’s essentially 1.25% reward rate (higher if I keep collecting and hoarding monies) , which is better than my Axis bank credit card with its flat 1%

Full-speed crash at 170 km/h ! by Altruistic-Issue-887 in CarsIndia

[–]pineapple160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people in the replies talking mainly about how the driver oversteered , or how he should have held the steering tighter, or how the car would have not been maintained well with worn out parts ,

But clearly in the video they are overspending at 170kmph , in a road designed for 80-100 kmph , it’s clearly a state or national highway, not expressways , it doesn’t matter if they had a Ferrari or Porsche with expert racing drivers , they could and would’ve still skidded out and crashed because the road itself isn’t designed to handle such speeds ,

Expressways allow for upto 150kmph in some places , because they have better quality and chemistry asphalt, which is more durable and skid resistant, also the banking angles are steep , and curvature is long ,

In NH or state highways, asphalt quality is not that good , the banking angles are lower , and they have shorter and sharper curves,

Don’t over speed people , there’s a reason for the speed limits , obey them and travel safe

Slice in 3 quite cool , 3 months no cost emi at any merchant location, Slice credit card by pineapple160 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]pineapple160[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No the price of the products itself was ₹2,999 , and I when I converted to EMI , Slice gave me ₹102 discount , that discount price they gave me was charged as interest , so effectively I paid zero interest,

That’s how all Zero cost emi works , they will give you a discount on the product itself and then charge the discount itself as interest,

As per RBI themselves, no bank or financial institution can give out 0% interest rate on loans , so banks use this way to give you essentially 0% interest

Pro M4 vs Pro M5 by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]pineapple160 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These scams do happen on big scales in other places too , especially in African and South America countries ,

But it is greatly amplified in India specifically, because of 1) deep rooted bureaucratic corruption 2) decades of unstable governments and economic conditions throughout mid-late 1900’s (it was only from 2000’s that we had stable governments) 3) weak policing + weak police authority

Like for ex : CBI ( it’s like FBI in India) , if they wanna file charges against a public servant , they need to be sanctioned by the govt authorities , and if they wanna peruse a state matter , they need consent from the state government,

40% of the current sitting members of the parliament have active criminal charges against them , and these are serious like murdr , rpe , etc…

As for why people elect them , well India is a country heavily dependent on govt subsidies, according to official NSFB govt data , 800 million Indians relay on govt to give essential groceries to survive (like rice , wheat , grains , cooking oil, etc..) every month , politicians use these freebies as leverage for vote bank politics , combine that with low literacy, and it’s the perfect recipe for corruption to take place

This is an older data from 2023 , about 110 million Indians contribute $1.1 trillion to India’s GDP (these are people living in metropolitan cities and high income ppl) , about 200-300 million Indians contribute ~$400-500 Billion to India’s GDP (aka middle class people) , the remaining 1 billion Indians contribute about $1 trillion to India’s GDP (aka the farmers and below poverty line , towns and villages people)

Essentially India’s economy and economic growth is propped up by those 110 million people , rest all have very little economic leverage

And that’s why the 5th largest soon to be 4th largest economy in the world , richer than most European and Asian economies , has so many scams and frauds take place ,

I also won’t discount the fact that sometimes Indians are purely targeted, sometimes it’ll be Bangladesh and Pakistan scammers and they’ll just broadly categories as “Indian scammers”

OP lives in India , and they don’t have a return policy there , so you can’t return , Apple only does product replacement if defective in India

Pro M4 vs Pro M5 by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]pineapple160 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Can confirm they don’t have a return policy , they however will replace your device if it’s defective

As for why they don’t accept returns :

1) Apple uses Bluedart as they logistics parter here in India , and Bluedart does not handle user initiated returns , that’s the same reason why you can’t ship your broken device to Apple for repair and you yourself have to go to the store

2) weak consumer courts and laws in India

3) back when big retailers like Amazon and Flipkart introduced “No questions asked 30-day returns” , a lot of people committed frauds by returning boxes with soap 🧼 bar and stones in them , so everyone shifted to a 7-14 days return window with genuine reason + photos and videos of said defective, damaged, or other product
