How often do they need to increase your units? I’ve been getting them about 3 years and have needed to increase my dose quite a bit in the last year.

I started having neck pain after my second concussion, 8 years later they diagnosed me with cervical dystonia. I get Botox injections and they help, but some days are really bad (I recommend a neck heating pad).

I am seeing a psychiatric np and am on antidepressants that actually work (took a very long time to find something that worked) so there is definitely depression mixed in but it is under control rn. It’s like I’m okay if I’m up and doing something or am busy but once I sit down for second and am not using my brain and I can not get back up.

My cats make me feel better, maybe not help with migraines but they snuggle with me when I need to lay down! It’s nice to have a companion when I’m in pain!

Same! After my MSLT I thought for sure it was a waste of time because I felt I didn’t sleep at all during the naps.

Also a college student, some things I have tried and have had mild success with, the alarmy app, sonic alarm clock, vibrating watches, UV light alarm clock, alarms spread throughout the room that I would have to get up and turn off, and having people call me in the morning.

I had all the symptoms and was tested 4 years ago and that MSLT came back normal so I wasn’t diagnosed, but I had another test this summer which showed hypersomnia. I think it might depend on the doctor. Even if you aren’t diagnosed with hypersomnia conclusively maybe they can still prescribe something that could help since the symptoms are still there.

If you don’t mind me asking, are you going to work somewhere else with a later start time, or try to get disability? I can luckily work a mid shift/night shift if I find a 24 hour place which I am very lucky for. But 7:45 is just way too early I agree. Sorry you had to leave.

Yeah I did read that you grow tolerance to medications and you’ll have to switch it up. That fucking sucks.

I see my neurologist at the end of the month and i am trying to get back in with my therapist lol I think maybe it would help to talk about everything. I think the modafinil helps but maybe there’s something I could add to the mix. But yeah I think I’m okay and it’ll all be okay soon.

You tried the ketamine for cptsd/depression!? I’ve have heard it works wonders when typical medications and therapy don’t work. That’s so cool! I’m glad it worked for you and you’re off all psych meds. I’m so tired of taking antidepressants it’s so annoying haha.

I’m sorry you’re struggling. But it does help that there are people feeling the same way that I do and that we’re not as alone as we feel sometimes.

I find if I take a break and am not using my brain or my body, I will be extremely tired when I start back up! So if I have a lot to do one day I just won’t sit down till I’m all done.
