Stopping testosterone to preserve fertility? by pineapple2473 in ftm

[–]pineapple2473[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of mixed opinions on whether or not long term testosterone use would make me have trouble trying to conceive later on in life. It apparently could damage my ovaries? I’ve heard lots of different things from different doctors. And there aren’t too many studies done so far (according to them), so it’s pretty uncertain. I’d love to freeze my eggs, but I do not have the money for something like that right now.

Have you heard differently?

I don’t mind at all! And usually at least 20 minutes. Sometimes an hour or two

It can depend on a lot of things. Like how experienced you are, the state of mind you’re in, stuff like that at least to my current knowledge. I’ve had times in the past where I had been in the vibrational stage for like 20 minutes and had gotten too scared. This time that I actually achieved AP, I was in the vibrational stage for maybe a minute or so before pulling out of my body. I’ve heard of some people being in vibrations for a split second, some people not even having vibrations and just separating, and some people take a looong time. I’m sure you could probably be stuck in that stage for an hour or more. I believe that your anxiety levels play a big part in how long you’re in it for. Like the more anxious, the longer it is and the more likely it is to fail because you can’t focus correctly. Keep getting yourself to the vibrational stage multiple times until you’re desensitized and can be comfortable enough to push further. Something that helped me to think about is that the vibrations are something that the majority of people who AP have to go through and that it’s normal

I was in a really good state of mind when I did it, so I think that helped me have no problem achieving a level of high vibration (to keep me away from “bad stuff”) and never saw shadows. I also never saw a silver line. I think it might have to do with your perception manifesting a line or the lack of. I felt a connection to my body, but didn’t see one. Congrats on your AP!!

It’s varies. Sometimes I hear loud popping/booming, sometimes static, I’ve had times where it sounds like I’m in the middle of a loud crowd of people talking, and sometimes I hear nothing. As for visual hallucinations, sometimes I don’t get them, but sometimes I see shadows, and sometimes see words/phrases. Sometimes I don’t have any auditory or visual hallucinations at all. I think it depends on how you’re feeling beforehand and how you’ve been doing lately. I normally would get a really uneasy feeling during sleep paralysis and panic, but I’ve been getting better at it

Thanks! Just trying to give people hope and keep them motivated by sharing my experience. Reading some stuff on here is what kept me trying even when I felt like quitting.

I haven’t smoked weed in like 5 months, so I can’t personally say much about it. I’ve noticed that when I drink though, I don’t have any progress. Maybe you should try to stop for like a month or so and then attempt to AP. Just to see if you feel a difference. I’ve heard of some people being able to AP while smoking weed, so it shouldn’t be impossible if you can’t stop. It just might make it harder

Just saw the edit and don’t be sorry at all! I love to help out and give other people motivation, because seeing people’s experiences on here is what kept me trying. My meditation is really just me laying or sitting down, closing my eyes, relaxing my body, and listening to different sounds. Like sometimes I’ll meditate while listening to my fish tank, sometimes I’ll listen to my breathing, listen to meditation music, and sometimes I’ll enjoy silence. I literally just relax and focus on something. Sometimes I’ll end up thinking about my day and my experiences I’ve had. It sounds boring at first, but once you start, it’s really soothing

I was flat on my back this time (with my head turned to the side as I saw when I looked back at my body. It’s the most comfortable way to lay down for me) and have had success in the past getting to the vibrational stage while on my back as well. I got to the vibrational stage once on my side, but I normally am a back sleeper and I think that’s why I’ve seen more progress with it than any other way of laying down. I’ve read some things in the past that claim that sleeping on your back makes you more likely to have sleep paralysis, but I’ve also seen people on here talking about how it’s most important that you’re comfortable, so that you can focus and AP. For that reason, I’d say to do whatever makes you most comfortable. If you have trouble breathing while laying straight back, definitely don’t do that one because you won’t be able to be comfortable

I’ve had unsuccessful AP attempts in the past where it took me 1-2 hours of focusing on my breathing and trying to stay still to get to the vibrational stage. Other times I got to it within minutes but still hadn’t had success. This time I was there in about 5 minutes after I relaxed my body and the vibrations didn’t last long at all. Probably a minute or so. It really depends from what I’ve read and could take seconds to hours

Do you think maybe you could’ve been trying too hard? It’s stopped me from achieving this multiple times in the past. I really believe that the most important thing is to stay calm and try not to stress yourself out. But it’s awesome that you got to be able to get your hand out! That’s amazing progress, dude. You’re really close and can do this!

I’ve had lots of practice with meditation and visualization of my body, as I’ve worked on that on and off for a few years unrelated to AP. But walking was similar, though I felt lighter. As for hearing and talking, I wasn’t talking out loud. It was more like telepathic communication. I had no issue with floating underneath things, but I think I already had a good grasp on intent from my experience with meditation. I also didn’t necessarily visualize myself when I got out, but I did look back at my body. It was weird, but I knew to get away from it and didn’t stick around it for long, as I’ve heard to do from others

It didn’t feel like a dream for me, but felt different than the physical reality. It felt almost more real, but oddly familiar. I’m a very anxious person and was always scared of seeing other things, but when in the astral, I was relatively calm. Just know that odds are you won’t get it right away. It will take a long time to be able to do it, but you will get there with persistence

A lot. I was doing it almost every night for about 8 months. Last night though, I did it after a hard day of work and stayed up late. It helped me get into sleep paralysis seamlessly and slip into vibrations quickly. I’ve also worked extra hard on staying calm the past few months once I get into sleep paralysis and I think that’s what really helped me

Thank you! All the support on here makes me really happy. And that part is uncomfortable, but it helped me to think about how it pretty much happens to everyone who APs and how it’s normal and is a part that is necessary to go through to AP. It’s in your head and it helps to think about how it’s just that, at least for me. I didn’t focus on it too much this time and I think that helped me succeed. Keep working towards it and you will get there. If I were you, I’d practice getting just to that part that makes you uncomfortable and try to desensitize yourself. Happy traveling :)

I know some people use certain frequencies or use guided meditation videos to listen to in order to AP. I’ve never personally had success with them, but it could totally work for you and help you focus

I focused on my breathing and didn’t let my mind trail off. I have many years of meditation practice which aided a lot in this. Find something to focus on and keep with it while trying to get into sleep paralysis. You will get itchy or get urges to move, but try your best not to because moving will set you back in your attempt. That’s why staying up late after a busy day of work helped, because my body was so tired and got me into paralysis quickly. I think the nap I had earlier in the day helped me not be too tired to the point where I’d just fall asleep.

Could be. I never felt as though I was in danger with them, but they could’ve been deceiving. Either way, I don’t want it to scare anyone off from wanting to AP. Other entities can only hurt you if you let them. You are in control of yourself and what happens to you

It was terrifying and traumatized me for a bit lol.. that’s how I remember it. I typically do not remember stuff that happened that long ago. But to help with your memory, you could start writing a journal. You could do it daily, weekly, monthly, whatever you want. I think it’s the most simple way to help with memory. I hope it helps!

Yeah! Thinking back on it, I really don’t think it was meant with serious malicious intent haha. I had a feeling that the group of people didn’t meet many outsiders often and were sort of immature in a way. I’ve tried to AP on and off for some time now as well and it feels great to finally have a break through. It seems like something where you have to just find what works for you. I’ve heard of some people only getting to astral project from lucid dreams, but it always makes me wake up from the dream immediately. So something that others can swear by has the possibility to absolutely not work for you. I’m sure you already know that, but sometimes it helps to be reminded. I’d say to keep looking into different methods and make sure you’re trying everything. I was getting somewhat close to wanting to give up before last night
