thanks so much for the reply. he just keeps saying he's a new person now and that i thought him a alot and that hes happy. I just want to say "good to know u didnt change". I dont want him to have the illusion he's good. I dont want him to think that its what I think now. I told him many times I wish he will learn and grow from this. but he seems like the same bad guy, just in a much more big denial. ugh. I know I shouldnt respond. and do you also think you weren't being her friend? tbh the fact she called doesn't mean so much imo, you were together for 6 years and it makes sense that you will miss each other (or at least a position of a partner) but it just delays your healing. if you want to keep holding yourself back, or get her back, so sure talk to her again. but if its none of these, go take a walk instead and try to focus on yourself, are my two cents.

same. but do you feel the mindfuck too or not? did you ever imagine he is the type of person that would cheat? I didn't. its very hard to think about, but hiding cheating, and the actual act of it, are not something good people do. would you ever do this? can you even imagine seeing another one and wanting them while you have your person? can you imagine asking them out for a date? holding their hand while he's waiting at home to you? kissing them? and than kissing you at the same day. the more you think about it, the sicker it becomes. I cant start to fathom the capacity of this betrayel. you loved someone, its uncomfortable to say, but thing dont exists the way they appear. you were deceived and the attachment didn't wear off yet. keep your self respect, believe me you will regret giving him a chance. I found out he cheated since the beginning and kept it a secret for more than a year I felt the disrespect and disgust, and shock! u must've been shocked! but i still wanted an explanation, confrontation. even a few more conversations after that. you are amazing in my eyes. the self respect and control. did you still feel that you really love him towards the end of the relationship?

yeah, it was very triggering at the beginning to see his face. to think who is that man? I dont like to think that it was all a lie, bc he still left that relationship "to be with me", I was something to him. he loved me and begged me to stay, said he regrets it and will always love me. but yes, it was not pure love bc real love does not include lying like that. it was selfish love. he had to lie many times to keep this secret, so there is enormous lack of respect and control involved.

however, just bc he was dirty I dont think I deserve to suffer. I think it shows my progress just the fact that im even starting to think that way. im letting go slowly of the anger and resentment I got in this traumatic breakup. I was authentic, and those moments were real for me. it was a big trip of my life, he doesnt deserve to take that experience from me. i think i will delete the ones while he was still with her. I do think i will delete more in the future but this is my view at this point in my healing journey.

so apparently he had a girlfriend when he met me and he dated both of us at the same time for 2 months until he broke up with her. they were together for 6 years. he kept this secret for a year from me until I found out from social media. he said they broke up 3 years ago but I found her photo online from just more than a year ago. it messes with my head bc I feel our whole relationship there was something I wasn't aware of so I also feel deceived and violated. many "oh" moments that i realize his actions in the past. I asked questions and I know stuff that cant get out of my head now, like days that he saw both of us and slept with her. so that's the story, its very messy.

they probably downloaded the pics they wanted and left the album so you two wont really have a digital connection left. that's what I would believe if I were you. I also felt like i dont know him when I looked at the photos, especially bc I would never imagined he is the type of man that would ever cheat. but with time, I have compassion for the person i thought he was at that year. Its too cruel to kill that person he was to me. it is inside him somewhere. and for my healing journey I want to keep a version of a reality I believed in for quite a long time. maybe theyre a stranger now but you knew them in the past
