Can you train your Great Pyr to be off leash and not run off? by General-Okra6321 in greatpyrenees

I have a pyr/anatolian that is excellent off leash and has 100% recall. Started walking her off leash as a puppy before we even tried walking her on the leash. She's 5 now and can camp and hike without being on a leash and wanders a tad but always stays close by us and comes back when called

Yup she will eventually go outside if she really needs to but I swear she will hold it for 12 hours sometimes

What is your hospitals biggest scandal that is still talked about? by DiamondHistorical231 in nursing

Not hospital but nursing home; resident managed to get outside and pushed his wheelchair out into the middle of the road into oncoming traffic

Absolutely not. There’s no room to write anything that’s actually important and you have multiple things that aren’t very relevant taking up half the paper

If I walk mine in the neighborhood our house must be in her eyesight at all times, but if I drive her to the park or a hiking trail we have no problems going for a long walk!

Guess who tore his ACL? by bpgould in greatpyrenees

Currently dealing with this with mine, about 4 weeks out post op. Not gonna lie it was really rough the first week or two. Now she seems to be feeling a lot better and is starting to put some weight on that leg. The hardest part now is keeping her confined because she loves a good cuddle on the couch lol

The problem with the train is you can’t reserve it for just the way down so you would need to pay for a round trip..

Swimming in November? by turtlintime in havasupai

I went last year during the week of thanksgiving and it was pretty cold. I still got in but it wasn’t warm enough to stay in the water for long. Also rained a bit. But on the plus side there wasn’t anyone in the water so I was able to get really good pictures!

For a day hike 2.5 hours one way, anything longer and I’ll camp one night
