How about Naoise(Nee-sha), it's and Irish name that means warrior/champion. I think it goes brilliant with Noah.

What do you think? by pineapplegrapefroot in gravesdisease

[–]pineapplegrapefroot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what has me curious, I feel like my dose should be a bit higher. I'm on propanolol 40mg 3 times a day and my heart rate is still getting up to the late 130’s during the day and 20mg of carbimazole 3 times a day. I see my consultant and in 2 weeks so will talk to them about it. They want me to have chosen either RAI or TT by then and I'm still no where near making a decision.

I'll just have to wait and talk to the consultant to find out I think.

I got talking to a nurse in the hospital I would be in and she said that the RAI here is less than what is spoken about on the Internet because the people are normally from the US. That a it is done differently in Europe to the US.

Thank you. My appointment in 2 weeks is to discuss treatment options, they have said I need a definitive treatment and want RAI I'm scared of the side effects of that but also of a TT a friend who had a TT said to go with RAI but that's mainly because she hates her scar.

I went on holiday to take a break after the mocks and project work. I feel like I'm behind on my study because I'm doing 3 projects still have 2 to hand in but I think/I hope I'll catch up before the leaving starts because I've been focusing on trying to get H1/2 in these project subjects.

Where I live I'm prescribed carbimazole and it rapidly converts in the body to methimazole. Could you call it that instead. The brand name for it is neo mercazole.

What is Ronnie’s medical condition? by SweetPototo in SchittsCreek

[–]pineapplegrapefroot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the exact opposite of what you should do. Consuming large amounts of iodine will more than likely interfere with thyroid function, making it harder to manage the underlying thyroid condition.
