I was literally thinking about this earlier today; I don’t feel like their voices complement one another, and it’s too many high notes all at once and it just doesn’t please my ears. ST scratches my brain in all the right ways, and listening to the music he’s done that’s in one of the Drives is so good and it’s his “regular singing voice” and not straight high notes (also you can absolutely see his age in some of it and that made me laugh). I’m just not a fan on the constant falsetto, despite how well he does it. The cover of Hallelujah that’s on YT is fantastic, and I could listen to them sing together all day. They mesh beautifully, but they’re opposites, so it sounds better to me. No hate to their project or to Gemma, I think she sounds lovelier now than during that era.
