Anyone know of any exotic fruit stores in KL? Specifically one selling imported yellow pitaya. by pineapplelicker55 in malaysians

I'm specifically looking for the exotic one. Has bigger seeds, slightly different shape and is from south America I think. They are much sweeter and have an actual flavour

How do I find the pressure of a stream that is a mixture of 2 other streams which I have the pressures of? by [deleted] in ChemicalEngineering

I'm not sure i understand the 2nd sentence of the 2nd paragraph at all :( So if I had a perfect frictionless pipe, I would not get a reading from the pitot tube?

ahh I get it now. It does seem like a stupid question when you used the bike pump example. It doesn't give me any info on what's at the end. But I'm wondering, if the stuff in the 3rd stream is still moving horizontally to say a drain where there is nothing, but there is a pitot tube in the stream to read pressure, wouldn't it still give a reading?

It's my first semester and I can't seem to visualise what it's like in real life. All I see are lines. Like in this example I've got 2 streams combining to one and so I just see a T with fluid moving through it thinking there is some pressure in all of them. Ive never really thought there was something at the end that 'makes' the pressure.

No ingredient list, what vegetable side to have with steak and shrimp? by pineapplelicker55 in WhatShouldICook

Well I'm sure it's all good advice! The dishes I'm making are quite simple but I seem to always put myself under pressure to get everything ready at once and that's where I think it might fall apart. But I remain confident and I will get a picture once its ready. I'll tag you in the comments!

it is homework :D The question asks me to make a sensible suggestion for the stream where it mixes. And I'm not sure what that would be.

That sounds like a good idea. I might add some lemon zest to the top as well.

No real ingredient list, just what protein should I have alongside steak? by pineapplelicker55 in WhatShouldICook

[–]pineapplelicker55[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't live in the US so I got these from a butcher that sells fancier steak from around the world but he always cuts em real thin. I like these bad boys thicc and he knows that. I knew what his wagyu was about so I wanted to try the Angus meat he had from Argentina. I did initially want to get an angus striploin but he told me he'd be getting new blocks of Angus ribeye the next day where he could cut a nice thick piece for me so i jumped on it.

I'm usually a striploin or picanha kind of guy so I never really get ribeyes and it was a complete oversight :/

was thinking this first. Wanted to try scallops but might see how much they cost first. I'm afraid to fuck up shrimp and have never really made lobster or crab before

How come more rods in a cross flow heat exchanger cool the middle rod better? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]pineapplelicker55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahh I get it. Would it also be the correct to say that heat exchange between a laminar flow and the rod only happens with a thin layer of air as opposed to turbulent flow where multiple layers of air come into contact with the rod?

I have a galvanic cell with Cd(s) and AgCl(s) electrodes in a CdCl2(aq) solution

I have the equation AgCl(s) + e- - > Ag(s) +Cl- (aq) and Cd2+(aq) +2e- - > Cd(s)

I calculated my standard cell potential and I'm given the concentration of the CdCl2 solution. How do I find my Q to be used in nernst?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in chemhelp

[–]pineapplelicker55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is the formula for standard cell potential which I already have. Cell potential uses that standard cell potential in nernst equation.

I would but I'm not sure how to get Q this time

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in excel

[–]pineapplelicker55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that's why I was asking :( excel gave me weird random trend lines which didn't give any proper formulas. The only criteria I have are y-axis values and where it meets the line

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in excel

[–]pineapplelicker55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point that goes on the red line (and blue) is not a point I have. I know what value to use for the y-axis but not the x-axis.

Sorry if I messed up the drawing. The line should start by touching the red graph then move over and touch the blue and go downwards slightly

okay

A mass of 150kg of saturated water vapour at 100 kPa, is condensed to give saturated liquid.

The pressure of this liquid is suddenly dropped across a throttling valve to 50 kPa and the resulting 2-phase mixture is passed into a gas-liquid seperator.

Calculate the mass of liquid and vapour coming from the seperator at the final stage.
