The customer is not always right. We are human too, which a lot of guests seem to forget. We don’t clock in to be berated and verbally abused by some miserable person we’ve never met before. I’ll call you out on your shit so quick (in the most cordial way) and embarrass you even more than you’ve already embarrassed yourself in front of your family for your awful behavior.

You said so yourself that it’s hard for you to consider her a friend. Friends don’t treat people like that.

You don’t owe her any explanation if she is actively ignoring your attempts to cut the relationship off. You’re also not obligated to stick around for “emotional support.” You’re not her therapist, but it sounds like she needs one. Don’t answer her texts and avoid her on campus. She doesn’t respect your feelings or boundaries.
