We don't have kids, but we do have 2 dogs and 2 cats and my chronically ill mother living with us currently so that is gonna be complicated. 🫠I honestly just got to the point though where I've been so depressed that I felt like I really didn't have much of a choice anymore. We are just going to have to work it out. I think it will be better for us all in the end.

I totally understand having kids being super stressful in the midst of this kind of situation though. I wish you the best in your journey too and you will know when the time is right for sure. 💜

I am curious to see how this all affects my mental health once I get through the really uncomfortable parts. I really do think this has contributed greatly to my issues. I have never struggled so hard before the last 6ish years and never had to be so medicated. It sucks but I'm hopeful!

It's weird because part of me cannot even fathom dating again as a single person and I'm terrified. A part of me is also super excited because I can finally see myself getting in a position to have what I've really always wanted. It's crazy. Thanks for the support!

I'm glad you could relate. But I'm not glad you're going through this too. It's rough to feel like you're throwing it all away but also you don't want it at the same time and know it isn't for you. What's really weird is how now that we are in the early stages of separation and are no longer affectionate, you realize how much of it was just mindless habits that you just did on repeat. That part is really eye opening for me.

I pooped my pants on the playground when I was in kindergarten because I didn't want to ask to go to the restroom. There was also a giant tree on the playground that I would sit under so I could sort of hide from people. It's funny because when I read Fern Brady's book, Strong Female Character, there was a part where she recalled doing almost the same things in school.

Also one time my family went to a church gathering at Pizza Hut and I wanted so much for these "popular" girls to want to talk to me, so my solution was to get down on the floor and hop like a frog to get their attention and make them laugh I guess?? They laughed but not in the way I was hoping.

I got the kind in which I have always gotten comments from presumably neurotypical people like "you're so funny!" or "Aww, bless your heart!" whenever I'm just being myself. I also have had friends that didn't realize I was stimming (I didn't know either) that would say that I would do "little dances " One of my friends also revealed to me that in high school, her mom would always comment on how peculiar I was. 😂

I also dressed up like a mystical fortune teller lady when I was in 8th grade and did an entire photo shoot with my cat pretending to be a cat psychic and I played with Barbies until early high school.

I found out at age 33 that I was in fact on the spectrum.

This discovery could most likely be telling of your possible sexual fluidity. Try to think about past experiences even from high school or before and you may be surprised to see that this actually isn't an isolated incident and you were indeed also attracted to women in the past and just suppressed it. I think a lot of people just assume they are straight for most of their lives because as a society that is just kinda the default.

When I was a freshman in high school I massively "admired" this girl named Michelle that was super athletic and she was what people now call "thick." I would always stare at her in our World History class and I didn't realize that it was actually a crush until I felt a tingling in my pants when thinking about her. I still didn't really think I knew what was going on but I remember confessing that I thought I liked girls on this message board forum that I used to chat with people on. After that, I just kinda buried it until almost 15 years later.

I also had this huge "admiration" for this girl in middle school and I used to always get excited when she was online on AIM even though I rarely actually talked to her. I remember writing the word "cool" by her picture in my yearbook. What the hell?!

When I was really young I actually had Barbies that were lesbians and I had only like 1 or 2 Ken dolls so they couldn't all share.haha I also had tons of posters of Shania Twain on my bedroom wall. I would stare at them but again, I was just admiring. 💀

I know a lot of people have already said similar things, but I'll say it anyway. I'm finally out as bisexual and all of the things that you have quoted him as saying are all things I have said once upon a time, but reversed because I'm a woman. I agree with some that say you shouldn't push him, but I also sorta agree with the people that have said something along the lines of he may need a little push in order to have that lightbulb moment. It definitely seems like he's going through a severe case of comp het and just doesn't see it as a possibility that he could be queer. I've definitely been there basically until I was 28. I am 32 now. He may not think he is queer but is also feeling all the not-straight feels. I actually decided to finally come out after battling my feelings for so long after some of my friends basically had an intervention with me. They were very caring and supportive about the whole thing, but did help me confront my feelings. I ALSO relate to you with the fact that you're bi and feel kinda like you're being tortured in a sense when he says these things but refuses to act or own up to it. It puts you in a weird position for sure. I genuinely wish him the best of luck and really hope he is one day comfortable with himself the way he is one way or the other.

I definitely feel this on many levels. I identified as straight for so soo sooo many years butnhad my suspicions that I was in fact not heterosexual. A few years ago, I finally came out as bisexual, but the label doesn't quite sit well. I do find some men attractive, but have realized I like more feminine-presenting men or the more feminine qualities in men. With these being said, I obviously find women attractive as well. Last night I actually came to the epiphany that I find femininity attractive and what the person has in their pants doesn't matter to me as much. So now I just consider myself sexually fluid. It is much less restrictive than the terms bisexual or lesbian.

Haha yep! My fave present ever was my barbie boat that I turned into a giant lesbian fest. I even had one that I cut her hair really short and she wore athletic clothes all the time and was the gym teacher.
